Howdy!!!

Im Typhanie or Typh. I found this website through a podcast called Still Untitled: The Adam Savage Project and found out it was a big help in me
making and working on my Apollo 11 and Star Lord costumes. Im a big fan in movies and hope to make more props in the future!!!

Hi, I'm new here... Though I have been reading posts the last couple months.

So I'm not the biggest prop maker due to time , but I would like to learn the skills to make the things in my head.

I have made a lightsaber of my own design using a maglite, washers, etc... Which I then used the specs to have a machined one made.

Way back when, I made a TNG tricorder and cricket phaser out of balsa wood based on the old Star trek TNG magazine when the show was on.

I have also been known to do deckplans, though that too has slowed because im a Dad of two... And I'm slowly indoctrinating them to Star Wars and Star Trek...

If I had some time, I'd really like to make a ST:ENT scanner, and SW:RotS Alderanian blaster pistols... I only saw those in a behind the scenes video and a SW visual dictionary book... Very sleek and cool.

Hiyya folks,

I'm arnoc. Always been interested in making my own replicas of things from teh shows I loved, but my need for perfect symmetry, lack of funds as a kid, and lack of technical knowhow hindered me a lot :p Now that I'm finally at a point where I've got a stable job and some free time on my hands, I've been wanting to dive on in. I've done one or two pep projects already, and recently began learning some 3d modeling for use with my 3d printer. Also this past year attempted to build my own pinball machine (It works but it ain't pretty, that's getting redone early this summer). Currently got a couple projects I want to work on to expand my skillset, and hoping to learn and share with everyone here!

Hey everyone!

I am a big Star Wars fan, and ever since I was young I wanted my own Storm Trooper armour, and I have finally decided to take the plunge and work towards making that dream a reality!

Hi All,
names Roman, i'm from Melbourne, Australia.
been looking to buy a melted vader helmet and google lead me to the very talented MasterEdi (and therefore this site).

Do a lot of random sculpting of aliens, zombies and whatever else I dream up while at the desk - have a bad habbit of never finishing a project though.
I'm kinda hooked to this place now, great community.

Hi Guys,

Long time lurker, but never actively made an account until now! I have always been a fan of the community and progression this site has held, enjoying viewing the developments of projects and range of reference and idea's which are actively thrown around from time to time! Whilst I personally work on Digital and Hand Drawn Art Work, more recently I have been dabbling in sculpting and hope to produce what would become prop replica's or my own ideas within the future.

Great to finally be apart of the community and hope to start discussing topics soon!

Hello.

I've been lurking here for a few years, and I watch the RPF Facebook posts with interest. I found out about the RPF from Adam Savage on his podcasts with Tested.

Recently I've become inspired to do some "simple" cosplays. I decided I'd need help getting the details close enough to satisfy my sensibilities. Also, if my knowledge turns out to be helpful to anyone else here someone, that'd be nice.

I love what I've seen of this community from lurking. Here's to the future.

Hello! :D

I've came across this forum while I was searching about crafting the Wolverine cowl. Found a bunch of interesting stuff here. Right now, a friend's 9 y/o son saw me looking for that and he wants to cosplay Cyclops too. Already found the wolverine cowl here, 2 versions of a cyclops visor (the x-men 90ies animated series). Now I'm searching for his buckle/belt.

I'm also searching for finishing using foam/resin/epoxi/glueing and painting. Great community btw and expect me asking a bunch of stuff! :D

New member here! Been a lurker for a while, and decided to join after getting a Wand Star Trek Communicator. Have a Merry Christmas, and a great New Year!
