Hey all,

Im Ryan from the UK.
i have recently brought a Marty Mcfly 2015 jacket and shoes and im looking to mod the hell out of them!
any pointers where to go and who to talk to would be great, Thanks!

I'm Mike. This is my first prop project. I have honestly never thought about making, collecting, modifying props before but over the last few years I have wanted a pair of Nike MAG's so bad I seem to be able to taste it. Found this site looking up MAG's (for under thousands of dollars) and figured I'd give it a shot. Already been trolling the threads and getting ideas. I've just ordered some Halloween Store MAG shoes in hopes to have (cheap) fun with them and modify them.

Looking forward to my stay. Hope I can help someone here someday, one good turn deserves another.

Hey All,

Name is Rich and I am in Southern Oregon. I'm an electronics guy by trade and kinda moved into the prop stuff as a natural progression of skill sets. Been collecting movie props and memorabilia for a long time and I've built some crappy things over the years but I think its time to set up my game. This is the place to go for info and help on making the props.

Hopefully, I'll get some time soon to work on my Stargate Props as well as the Dr Who stuff.

Why Hello there :D

I am an amateur props designer from NJ (ugh) and I heard about this site thanks to the Volpin Props *** section. I haven't been doing it long but I have always wanted to make props and finally decided it was time to dive in. I like doing replica work but I much prefer the mash-up, usually involving Super Mario Bros.

I am currently working on a replica of Battle Bunny Riven's sword from league of legends and my next project will be Graves' shotgun.

Any suggestions for mash-up ideas are always welcome and I hope to show you guys all the crazy stuff I make in the future :D

Hello all, I came across this site while I was looking for pep files. I came across pepakura while I was playing around on the internet a few weeks ago and I caught the bug. Have always been interested in props and special effects but just now started playing around with it. Am starting with a set of Iron Man armor MkIV I believe. Haven't hardened anything yet but have a few pieces build in cardstock. I'll posts some pics of what I have so far in the next couple of days and I welcome any advice.

Hi I'm 43 and its my first time ever on a forum, so if i've posted this in the wrong place please don't ban me lol, I'm an X chopper pilot retired now due to blood pressure and my doc said do something relaxing and take it easy lol so I'm going to build the ironman suit (nothing easy about it lol ) so ill keep you posted on how i get on.

Hey everyone!

I just posted my first thread yesterday and then I saw this sticky thread today so I thought id introduce my self. My name is Andrew and i'm a fourth year physics major who recently started getting serious about prop construction. My interests are based mainly around Game of Thrones, Skyrim, and Lord of the Rings. Im a big fan of medieval weaponry and armor, but ive been also trying to get into sci-fi. If you have any suggestions for interesting shows or movies that have awesome sci-fi props id love to hear them!

Here are a few pictures of my first two builds. The spear was featured in The Game of Thrones and the shield was designed by me, based on the sigil of House Martell.

This seems like a great community and I look forward to posting here and learning about everyones prop design experiences.

Cheers!

Hello, I signed up because I really want to build accurate star wars props. My project right now is researching to build a DL-44 blaster,

Hello all! My name's Kelsey. I've been into nerdy things and costume building for what feels like my whole life - most of it has focused on Japanese video games and anime, but the odd Western thing has slipped in. After Spider-Gwen made her appearance, I knew I couldn't not make that costume.
I have some other (Japanese) things I'm working on in the meantime, but the goal is to possibly fly out for New York Comic Con as sort of an early birthday present to myself. We'll see how that goes, I guess!

Hello!

I'm Amy and I am a MASSIVE fangirl. Like literally if I had the chance to choose to live forever or live in a fandom world forever then I would choose the fandom life 100 times over. I am into allot of things but the main three are Doctor Who, Sherlock and Supernatural. At the moment I am recreating John Winchester's Journal. I like to cosplay whenever I can really and I love conventions and meeting other fans. I look forward to getting to know everyone and the site

Hello guys I have been a member for a little while now but have yet to introduce myself. My name is jdmjunkie714 I found this site while searching for Ironman suits and could not be more amazed by the amount of talent and creativity on this site. I am from the U.S. I live in Connecticut I have 2 kids a 6yr old son and 3yr old daughter. I would like to learn how to work with pepakura and work on my own suit one day. My son has been begging me to build him one. If there's anyone else from CT. Please feel free to contact me and maybe u can help me out. Thanks in advance.

hi, i'm interested in this forum for the creativity and techniques for creating things. amazed by the talent here. i'm a graphic designer / web developer, i live in oregon.

i have a question ... a few quick searches didn't give me any worthy results ... i'm interested in how people handle dealing with small typography ... and typography in general. i doubt there's a thread on this topic by itself, but if anyone can point me in the right direction, i'd be grateful.

thanks

Justin

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to get in here to be able to get access to a comunity of enthusiasts that would allow me to gain some awesome prop gear!
Can't wait to get my hands on a few things!
I generally am not interested in the big franchises but in the single movies.

Hopefully it will be a joyful experience.
