Hey everyone!

I've been reading and enjoying the enormity of talent on this website for a few months and finally decided to join. I'm an engineer, but I seem to have chosen the wrong type. By training and trade I'm an environmental engineer (sub of civil), but it seemes my real interest lies with mechanical engineering. But no worries! I've discovered this website now, so at least I'll get to dabble.

Some of my friends are cosplayers and they're amazing at it. I recently tried my hand at it at Nekocon this past November, but I was no where near their level. I want to cosplay Natasha Stark (hence my Avatar), so I'm looking for help with repulsors and gauntlets. I would like to learn to build these on my own, but until that time I'll probably be buying them or asking *lots* of questions! I hope to get started soon because I'd love to go to the Iron Man 3 premiere wearing my reactor and gauntlets!

I found the site through a custom costume client, he ordered a Tron Helmet from one of your members I have been designing high end leather pieces and character costumes ranging from gamer to historical.

I'm here to connect with other costumers, prop makers to collaborate with. Occasionally discuss techniques, and create for people looking to have high end costumes made.

I figured I should introduce myself before trying to post anything. I am a prop builder, rookie though I have been continuously getting better with my builds. I also build costumes and I'm an artist, I also have done special effects and special effects make-up. I have a few projects in mind for the future, and I've heard about the RPF before. I'm excited to be here!

My name is Dave (deekachu), and i like to make things. I Just recently got into the hobby of making/collecting movie props. I've always been a maker, but it wasn't until recently that I discovered this forum. I really love the challenge of trying to replicate something from looking at pictures, and having very limited information.

I'm currently building an Iron man MKiii (who isn't) and have a few projects in mind for the future. I'm in the process renovating my shop so i really cant do too much work at the moment, but it should be done soon and the fun can begin!

This seems to be a great community, and i'm glad to be a part of it.

this site is just great everyone is helpful when it comes to making a certain cosplay. I joined last year and it seems i can't do much. Hi, I'm a an amateur prop maker.
I mostly do props and weaponry but i can do costumes from time to time.

Here's a Skyrim Dawnguard costume I've made recently. I plan to be making more and more, but it needs to be a side project because of work, college, girlfriends, etc.

Hello everyone, I've been a member here for a while now spending most of my time lurking instead of being interactive. I spend most of forum time on various lightsaber sites discussing builds when I have free time.

I like long walks on the beach, pizza, Game of Thrones, Once upon a Time, wine, and building lightsabers.

I haven't posted on here before but have been a member for a little bit and have made a bunch of replicas. Havent completed a whole costume yet but there's a lot of work being put in to a a robocop at the the moment that i'd love to try out! Been posting a few of my completed projects in the replica forums, any feedback is appreciated!

Hi there,

My Name is David. I live in Los Angeles and work in the movie business, but with cameras instead of props. I build models, and have collected a few props from companies like Sideshow and EFX. I found this forum when I got the idea that I should be able to recreate Han Solo's blaster by starting with the real gun. Little did I know how much time people have already spent in this endeavor! This place is great. I did learn that I should perhaps start a little more modestly for my first replica prop build, so I'm making a Luke ANH saber.

I look forward to the hours that will vanish in this forum.

Hi everybody, I'm David, I've been looking through this forum for the last couple of years but have only know registered to post. I graduated in Product Design about 6 months ago and have been hiring myself out as an art department assistant and PA.

I'm a big weapons and armour buff and I am basically teaching myself prop making form scratch.

I really want to build a copy of the thorin oakenshield shield prop form the hobbit and my own PKD blaster.

I saw this site talked about on Tested.com's youtube channel and came to check things out a few weeks back. The work and tips here are all pretty fantastic and it got me wanting to re-start an old project of mine. Hey all.

I go by Lost Hours, for how many hours I've lost!

I've done some basic repaint type stuff, and the occasional model kits. Low level kitbashing and planning for as long as I can remember. I've finally decided to step it up a little, and the best place you can find to get some ideas experince and see some spectacular work is here!

My prop wants right now include some Star Trek stuff, not really a Trekkie but I'm a fan. Always have loved Doctor Who (mine was Tom Baker) and classic monster movies and sci-fi.

Thanks for having such a great community built and allowing newbies like me to hang out!

Hello everyone! The name's David. Howdy. I started coming here last year as a Doctor Who fan although I have always been interested in costumes, special effects make-up, and props (Halloween is my favorite holiday). Today I'm here more so to see what others are building -- I see a lot of wicked stuff! -- but I also look to everyone else's work for inspiration.

Right now my dream projects are to work on a Medieval themed Batman costume (more Robin Hood than armor) and a full scale TARDIS.
