I'm a student at USC, and like many other people, I have been lurking around this site for quite a while. It is truly amazing to see what they people here can do and can't wait to start trying to make stuff on my own. I'm really new to this and it is cool to see so many people here and generous enough to share their knowledge and techniques. Looking forward to seeing what I can learn here!

I'm 35 years old, originally from Croatia, living in South-East England at the moment.
Big fan of POTA movies and old sci-fi and horrors. I'm collecting statues and busts, and getting into collecting props as much as my budget allows me. Been lurking here for a while and finally decided to join yesterday.

Hello everyone. A long overdue introduction.

The name's Vern and I'm from South Texas.

I happened upon this site looking for instructions on how to build the cane used by the character Castor in TRON: Legacy. As luck would have it, kevinericon on here was already making and selling them.

My main interest is anything from the SAW series of movies though. Now that I'm here, I'm considering starting to build a collection. I've actually been chasing that hooded coat worn by the character Jigsaw for a few years but have never found a good match. Keep your eyes out if you would. :cool

Hey there, name's Aaron i found out about this forum by looking for a captain america shield replica, and a thor hammer. I'm starting on making replicas and sostumes, like an allspark cube, one of the asgardian hammers from the fear itself comic book, cap's shield, and im currently putting together a punisher costume

Hi All,

FOund therpf searching for a Stormtooper statue. To be honest i wasnt really into props and stuff until seeing some of the great work on here.

Ive been collecting Star Wars 12" action figures for a while and my collection is slowly growing. Im hoping to add a few full size helmets to the collection but we'll see how i go.

I've got a daft punk (thomas) helmet in planning at the moment afer seeing some great works on here. Hoping it will turn out half as good but we'll see.

Hello Artisans,
I found this forum while trying to find tips on painting Nerf guns. I am floored by the amount of talent on this forum.

Little about me. I am a Combat Cameraman for the military. So I am the guy behind some of the footage you see on the news and documentaries. I have been a long time wargame miniature painter and have always wanted to try my hand at painting other things. I am a HUGE Captain America fan and at some point will have to do a shield.

I am looking forward to posting my first project.

Hi Fellows,

A aquaintance of mine in the land down under pointed me to this site, what I have seen and read so far is great.
I myself try to make paper based props that aren't generally available, and have been doing this for the past two years. It never occured to me to look for like minded people on a forum like this. Its a great chalenge to make something that may only be seen on screen for a few seconds. It can be a headache finding the correct fonts and pictures I need, hopefully I may be able to tap into some of the available experiance of the site members if need be.

I will get some pictures of my makings to put on the site, I would be greatful for any comments and suggestions for improvements.

I have visited this site quite frequently the last few weeks as I have recently discovered pepakura. I am amazed at the high quality of work every one has here, and I am honored to finally join your ranks!

Hello all,
New to the site after coming accross it via Youtube toay, I've been Star Wars Costuming for about 18months now and love it, never been a fan really but my partner loves it, he turned up to a kids fun day at a shopping mall where there was a costuming group parading about, the attention my partner got in his sith outfit soon got him a card to sign up to the 99th Garrison, not to be left out, I joined to crew but soon realised it was far more fun in costume, so the search began for something from the dark side. Mara Jade was my first costume, still love it, but now have a generic Twi'Lek Bounty Hunter (purple) and love doing that one, also working on doing red but undecided exactly what to do with that yet, working on Aurra Sing too, need hands making and my dream costume that one day I hope to (before I'm too old) is Zam..
Anyway, that's my life in costuming in a nutshell, looking forward to browsing about in here and getting to know people...

Oh and did enjoy a fab day for Dreamflight charity yesterday doing a Zip Wire from a tall building accross our River.. FANTASTIC...and in Mara Jade outfit too...

Hey guys, just joined this forum today and found out about it while looking for resources on making a Jawa outfit.

I'm fairly new to the whole construction of props/costumes, but last year I built a Stormtrooper outfit and have had a lot of fun wearing it out and about. I'm currently looking for an idea for Halloween this year and decided to stop and browse the forums and see what people are working on. I don't have a whole lot of time for this years project but this is an excellent place to start.

At some point I'd love to make a mashup helmet between Deadmau5 and a Stormtrooper so hopefully there's some good resources here I can use.

Hi everyone!

I just recently stumbled across these boards, and have to say I am pretty impressed with the work you guys do!

I am from Los Angeles, and have been providing the motion picture industry with prop documents for about 6 years now. My company makes small order custom props, such as credit cards, passports, airline tickets, custom paperwork, etc. for signatory and non signatory (although we prefer the former) productions all over the world. Chances are you've seen some of my work on the big screen.

I just wanted to say hello, and keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing what you guys come up with in the future, and possibly even working together!
