I tried to reply to a post in the Junyard and was told I can't.

Am I being blocked for some reason?

Hey there Dewback Rider, us n00bs have to wait for 90 days and have at least 20 posts before we can participate in the JY stuff. I think those rules are found in the FAQ section here at RPF. Bummer, but understandable. Keeps the spammers and trolls away ;)

Good luck!

Re: New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!...

Hey all, first post here, glad to have finally made it onto the boards. I've primarily been a Star Wars costumer to this point, but have been branching out a little into other Sci-Fi projects.

Tons of great information and exceptional work!!

Re: New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!...

Re: New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!...

Hi!
I've been waiting a while to get registered, and glad I didn't miss the train though it was a really stressed times for me.
things look alittle better now, so..
I'm mostly into Battlestar Galactica right now, looking for all kinds of things,
but as I am looking for a new show right now, I'm sure that my props intrest will not stop there. BSG was just the begining of my props intrest.
I'm 28 years old,
I live in israel,
I'm a student with very little space for all the things I want, and still considering how to display everything I allready have.

this place is amazing!
>goes to dig in the posts<

Re: New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!...

Welcome, RPF newbies. Always glad to get a fresh perspective on our projects. I'm curious...how did you first hear of the RPF?

Re: New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!...

Hello,
Like everyone here, I'm new to RPF. Been lurking for awhile and thrilled to finally be a member. Always been a fan of special effects, physical props and behind the scenes movie stuff. Main interest is Star Wars, have AP TK armor, but lurking around here has open some other interests like Ghostbusters,Terminator, and Firefly.

Re: New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!...

Okay now. I'm finally here after lurking about for many years and admiring the wonderful workmanship of other prop builders.

Hi everybody, I'm Blair Keith. Some of you may know me by way of my pal, Bob, aka OB10. I had been dubbed the "Cardboard King", though I have seen other craftsmen here use the same material, in the early '90's, but had been using the stuff since the early '80's. It's cheap and easily available and can work like wood, since thats what it is made of.

I scatch build most of my stuff. If I can't find something for a part, I usually fabricate it from this material. Plus most of my scatch builds have been made before any kits were available and even before there was an RPF.

I've had many admirers of my work and requests to build something for them. Let me be clear about this now so there will be no misunderstandings in the future. To me, this is a hobby. It takes a lot of work to dream up techniques and a lot more labor to create my props for my use and to entertain. I'm not looking for business opportunities building for others. I'm sure other builders here may feel the same.

Anyways, I'm glad to be here and hope to learn and perhaps share some of my techniques I've developed over the years.

Well, it's about time! :lol You guys'll appreciate seeing some of his stuff when he gets a chance to post it. He made the War of the Worlds probe in that other thread. A lot of the local Minnesota boys have been able to see and marvel in person.

Re: New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here!...

My name is Jim and I'm from Minnesota. I'm a Star Wars costumer who bears a striking resemblance to Will Ferrell - So...
