Not saying I'm right...at ALL! just saying it's what I see. This is not me doing any sizing, just changing the opacity. the sizes are fixed, just so you can see if I'm overlapping them correctly.
Yeah I was mostly going off of the curve of what you can clearly see and assuming the T track is covering the rest.Good work, Trooper_trent! However, I do feel your rivet overlay in post #1,403 on the left rivet is a bit too big. It seems you are including too much of the shadow of the lower grip and the background behind as Roy pointed out. Because both those images of the rivets between the grips needed to be cropped down and magnified so much, the image degradation plays tricks on our eyes making it difficult to see clearly the actual size/shape of the rivets.
I must admit all this looking at rivets on props is making me feel like Kaa, lol.
BTW—any thoughts regarding moving this “side rivets” discussion to its own separate thread? If I didn’t know the conversation was taking place in the “discarded GRAFLEX” thread, I would be missing out on a major discovery.
No, no. I’m talking about the short sides of the strip, not the beveled sides. You trimmed them so that the “walls” are gone, and so there’s a visible, see-through channel on the underside of the strip.
