New BMF coming

That's the quantum rectifier adjustment nozzle or QRAN for short. It's used to supply Negative Ions to the ballast tank or bleed them off in case of extreme quantum flux while in hyperspace.

Well there you go, it's a wonder that i didn't know that ! :lol

On that picture that big square thing on the hull plating just below the pit... I had a heck of time finding out what that was... Found out it's called the Neutralizing Isotope Maintanence and Reintgration Oscilation Device... or NIMROD for short. The four retangular openings vent positive ions during lightspeed deceleration to provide a cushion of positive energy around the craft to ease it's slowdown from hyperspace travel. :D

I really should write a book naming all the greeblies on the Falcon... I wonder who would read it! LOL

Looks like a part depicting a battleship optical targeting turret, upside down. [playing the "straight man" of this duo...]

Weird looking at details on the 32" MillFalcon after studying the 5-footer for so long...

No... you see the adjustment valve on the right side? If it was a targeting turret, it'd have the button with the three little pin connectors there. That is clearly a NIMROD my friend! ;)

Has anyone come up with where these are from?

Done told ya... that's the QRAN! :) LOL... Honestly... I'm surprised that as many parts have been identified that have so far. I used to have a link to a site that had possibly 80% of the parts and kits used listed. I'll see if I can find it. I do know that most of the donor kits are impossible to find anymore. Althou, maruska is attempting to recreate alot of the kits and parts tht were used for printing in 3D. So many of them are still in the air!

Did you even look at the picture? :lol This one is from a while back, not the conversation from the previous page.

Going to put it on Shapeways as well? I did actually find one of these Y-pieces in the baggies you sent me, but not a second one. Thanks for continuing to help me out!

I made a 3d model for that part, the 'legs'would just have to be heated up and bent to shape.

I think the piece you found , i shaved off of the legacy falcon.
Yeah I will re model tonight or tomorrow, maybe take some measurements for me for scale. The pit length will do.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh... well that explains it... the pics wouldn't come up for me... too large I suppose! Now that I take a look at them, they look like part of the partical production supply transmografiers. It doesn't look familiar thou... looks like it could have been a modification that Han and Chewie made. However, it bares a striking resemblance to the TG-46 UltraCog line of transmografiers. WOW... how they got that part to fit on there is beyond me. What should actually be there is part #158276 from the Corellian part catalog. It's name is called a Particle Shunt. But I can understand why they replaced it. They had this butterfly valve that kept sticking all the time whenever the particle buildup got to bad. They were famous for this kind of behavior. I have heard of many people replacing them with the AS-400 Shunt valves that use the teflon coated valves to prevent the buildup, but the UltraCog ones were really good at not only keeping the buildup from occuring but turning the particles that caused it into fuel for use in the system! Brilliant idea... why didn't I think of that? LOL

Actually, I believe this represents the retrofit active decoy deployment system so popular among smugglers ... useful when trying to shake a Star Destroyer (or worse...) ;^P Notice the launch rails...

(slapping own hand) Cut that out!!

The top of the pit is about 1 inch exact from corner to corner. The bottom is 2 & 3/8ths inches from corner to corner without the curve taken into account. The sides are 2 & 1/4th long each. Let me know if you need more.

Can someone tell me the maker and perhaps correct pits these go in? Are they for the underside like I am inclined to believe? My reference photos do not really show these particularly well...20160128_204627_zpsskhyusoj.jpg
