New 10th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote

View attachment 309025To try and keep my replica cheap and able to make in the UK I'm using this for my handle, I have one question is the silver bottom part and the emoter and collar unscrew able so I can get the handle on its own, I'm doing this so I can swap the peices with the wand companies metal part even though some of the sizing will be off.

Iv got one of those and im afraid there is no way that will fit the wand company parts , its tiny

Really, I heard it was a 1:1 scale replica torch, NOOOOOO I can't access any shape ways handle as there is not one in the UK shape ways, what shall I do now?

Would the vortex manipulator torch work or is that too small aswell

Not sure iv not seen that one in person

I've been researching this extensively, and I've watched literally all of series 4 (where we know DT's sonic that the wand company copied was used). The handle is not that different from DT's sonic - occasionally the handle looks darker on David's, but that could just be lighting.

N.B. My sonic was a Christmas gift from my girlfriend and so it may be from the second batch, which the wand company may have altered to make the handle darker compared to the first batch. I don't know though.

Have a look here , I asked about it a while ago and ASP9mm gave some great info -

Now in return post some pics of your handles lol !

A new question - do people have lock codes on their sonics??? If they don't, do people turn their sonic off when finished in control mode???? (e.g. Turn sonic on. Put volume up. Turn sonic off again)

My sonic is crooked at the part where the emitter cage meets the round part below the teeth of the emitter cage. Anybody know how to fix that?

You could always ask Richard or Chris to have a look (their emails are on this thread at the beginning - send them some photos and let them advise you - I'm sure they know the most about these sonics)!!!

Yeah but I'm sure they'd just have me send it in again and that'd be the 3rd time I've sent in a sonic, I dont want to keep bothering them you know? And since this thread has a lot of people that have taken the sonic apart and know what the different parts are I figured it'd be easier to just take it to this page.

Post up a pic and il see if i can think of anything

Mate, that's always been there, also this will be fixed in later production, mine was like that too, this is not the most accurate head and collar as the part where the teeth meet are not diagonal enough.

No, the last Sonics I had weren't as crooked as this. And it wasn't always that crooked.

Wow I didn't know that!

Yeah, actually my first sonic lined up perfectly. Which was why I was pretty upset when I had to send it in for a replacement. But I got that one in early December. My thoughts on the way the sonic fits together is its just luck if you get one that is perfectly accurate. The sonic I have now like I said earlier wasn't always crooked. I have no clue why it is crooked, its probably from me carrying it everywhere.

Alright, well im not exactly trying to convert it. Just trying to fix the emitter. As i found yesterday the area right where the teeth of the emitter cage meet the metal ball at the end of the clear tube is loose. It wobbles and won't stay aligned.
