New 10th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote

Hey while people are still talking, does anybody know how to get the bottom of the sonic to unscrew? I got glue on parts inside causing it to be harder to slide up and I need to clean it up.

Just twist it , bottom piece is threaded on to the handle

Now that the CO war Doctor's sonic has been released, it has become more feasible for the Wand Company to create a range of classic sonics. This is purely due to the fact that the classic sonics all share similar bodies.

Votesaxon07 did a great review of the War Doctor's sonic which emphasises my point at about 1:30 and at 3:15 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feUpB34MhiM&list=PLXh90KWoTzGzraVv9jnXi2kiqaX5DzI7w

Therefore, the Wand Company could create an aluminium body with all the electrics in it, and, adapt that aluminium body for the various sonics: add the emitter and paint job (which differs slightly on each sonic) and............VOILA - a whole range of classic sonics.

Hi, long-time lurker and recent member here, I was wondering if someone could please tell me what the range is on this thing and whether that differs at all from what's on the manual? I don't actually own this sonic yet (I'm still saving up some extra money for it), but I'm trying to gauge how easily I could use it at school. Thanks in advance!

you know, i was thiinking.
and what i was thinking is what the wand company could be making next.
i mean they could make another wand
now i know it will for sure NOT be a sonic screwdriver
but what do you think it could be
and if they aren't making it, maybe they could use that in the future

I've gotten mine to turn off/on a television from about 30 feet away, across the room at a country club haha. It doesn't work through glass, however. I've tried to control TV's in bars from outside with no luck.

as a matter of fact, i bought one for my birthday,
but that was more than 3 weeks ago

apparently they say it's on backorder
but the website has shown in stock tor two weeks now
i ordered from bbc doctor who shop canada (because i live there)

Does anybody who has done a conversion that involves getting rid of the original body still have that original? The clips on mine broke and I've been using glue to hold the collar down but I have to replace the glue every few days. Anybody willing to let me have their old sonic body?

That sounds like a good idea, it's not just you but I have opened it, if ur gonna do that, then cut the ends of the and then glue them on or something, cause that would mess up the electronics big time!

That's what I meant, like just cut the ends of the nails so they might be just long enough to fit in or glue them on. There's bound to be enough room for a small end.

Well I thought about doing it to my sonic but I figured I'd wait and see if Anakin starkiller makes a metal body of the tenth sonic before I try. But if I do I'll be sure to post pictures.

Ok, thanks, also I was thinking the paint jobs were better as paint not deep cracks, so can I get aleens from uk and can I apply it over plastikote

I have the 10th sonic remote, and the integrated Li Po battery will die over years (~up to5), so I wanted (after the battery dies) to revive it using the Ni Mh charger to raise the voltage back up, and than use the Li Po charger to normally charge it again. Is that possible with this battery? and the second question: can the screwdriver be safely opened without breaking, so I can charge the battery and put it back together. I tried opening it, but Im afraid to break something....

Thank you very, exceedengly, awesomely much
