Help with 10th Doctor universal remote battery

Hello, I recently purchased the 10th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote by The Wand Company, and found that upon arrival the battery is dead and wont hold a charge. I'm not very tech savvy and was wondering if anyone could help me with repairing it?

Almost all of these remotes have suffered from this, so you're in the majority. If you use the search function at the top of the page, you'll be able to find the various threads here talking about it. There are some that give instructions on how to change the battery yourself, but they weren't meant to be changed, so it will definitely take a little effort.

Just take your time, go slow, & use the experience of others & I'm sure you'll do fine.
