Got mine charged during a nap today, & haven't really put it down since. I own 3 LG TVs & I found that the TVBGone feature works on all 3 in about 10 seconds. The best part is that it will turn them all on in the same amount of time. That's not a surprise, since the code is the same for both functions, but it's good that they don't require the long push to turn them on.
I got a Morse code reader app for my phone & got the messages decoded.
I have seen a lot of discussions on how this matches up to the MFX. I've never owned one of those. When I had saved up for a sonic, I went for one of the good ones. Unfortunately, I had to sell it a few months back, with full well intending on getting an 'ultimate' version at some time. Now though, I believe that with this remote, I'm going to be well satisfied for a little while longer.
My only comment about the sound is that the instructional voice seems to be a little quieter than 11's. To me, the sound effects are loud enough, but they don't seem to cut through any background noise. When I first fired it up, the TV was on & the windows were opened & it was a little hard to hear, but after everyone had gone to bed & the house was quiet, every sound came through great. I know that sounds like a 'DUH' statement. Not sure how to explain it, but it doesn't seem like it's a volume issue to me, but rather a frequency issue. It just doesn't seem to 'cut through' very well.
Last comment is on the teeth. Mine lined up great. The extending action is a little stiff, but that has been addressed multiple times, so no worries there.
Overall, it was a fun ride here with everyone as we waited on these. My heartfelt gratitude goes to Richard & everyone else on the team at TWC for taking this on, even after knowing of all the 'discussions' this particular prop has caused. I almost corrected that last statement & changed 'prop' to 'remote', since that's what it is. But I can say that I call this a prop, & that's the greatest compliment I can pay the team at TWC. You gave us a functional prop, while going above & beyond to give us as much screen accuracy as the budget would allow. Having Tennant's crackle pattern scanned & copied gives us a bit of a pedigree to brag on to our laymen friends to boot.
Thank you again, Richard for your patience & long-suffering attitude. I don't believe your passion, craftsmanship, & dedication will be forgotten by many on this forum. This thread should be mandatory reading by eFx, QMx, & any other blank-blank-x companies that have a presence here. THIS is how you design a product. THIS is how you give the customer what they want, & keep them satisfied when things don't go the way they wanted. THIS is how you get a product to the consumer (I'm looking at you QMx...really...don't bother).Bottom line- THIS is how you get things done.
