MR Falcon total repaint

Ha, perfect!! You got the contrast just right, that looks great.:thumbsup Now an overall shot with those panels finished would be good.

Wow, Nightrider, I gotta agree, now I don't know which of you guy's models I like the best. The techniques were applied totally differently on the two models, but man, they both look incredible. Well done to the both of you! Makes my own repaint look like crap!!! :)

Now Dave, your model looks great, you're starting to sound like me.:lol With credit to Gunpowder, he completely repainted his bird, whereas mine has only had some panels repainted and tweaked. I was happy enough with my paint-job that I didn't feel I needed to repaint the whole ship.....thankfully, as it would have been one of those never ending things I fear.

Here you go. These were taken in lower light illuminated from one side. Sorry about the creases!

Man, the weathering on your ship looks so good. You really used the brush just right without overdoing anything. Awesome.:thumbsup

Fantastic work, looks great!

Thanks guys. This one was sold to a friend , but i collected a new one today. Thankfully it has a crap paintjob too so i can start all over again! I think i will leave the cockpit standard this time. I cant wait to get started. I have a Moonraker shuttle and some flooring to do first though!

Bro.. the weathering on your ship is incredible! Love all the work you put into this! Just awesome! As a side note... I found an excellent source for painting the MF in the unlikeliest of places. It was the Puzz3D Falcon puzzle! They took photos of the 6 footer and then made the puzzle out of the photos. Once its all together, it makes a perfect and quite large paint reference (including all the various signs and labels that are on it). Might be worth checking out!

Incredible, I didn't realize you had the rear lit as well (though should have known :p ) The cockpit looks amazing

Totally awesome work. Wish I could afford a Falcon Prop....or at least buy one without my wife killing me

Gunpowder that was an awesome falcon redo project, now that you got a Nikon please take many pictures of the next falcon repaint and post them. I would like to see that as many others would like to see I'm sure. I just scored me a limited edition falcon last night at a good price and planning on redoing that paint job on that myself but with an added feature ... landing gear and a loading ramp.
I have a Nikon D90 and Nikon makes some great cameras and the pictures come out very nice which is great for taking pictures of these models and the fine detail.

Wow excellent work. It looks so much better than the heavy handed haziness of the factory finish. And the cockpit looks.....phenomenal. It's like looking into the real thing.
