Thanks Guys. I finished the rear wall today. Looks like i am going to have to build the sidewalls next. Resonably happy with the results.

WOW! See... that's the way the cockpit should have been made in the first place....

Amazing stuff as always Andrew..

I"m half tempted to rip out my cockpit and send it to you... heh heh... (wait.... actually.. can I?)

Looks great! Did you end up using the fiber optics? If so, can you say what type of paint you used to color them?

Thanks

So, are you doing Falcon upgrades? I too would be interested in sending mine to you.:thumbsup

You paint skills are top notch. You have me ready to repinat mine when it is unpacked for display.

Please don't take this comment as being in bad form because I truly love what you're doing with that lighting project..........but in the pics, it appears the whole back wall is not level with the rest of the cockpit...........I'm assuming you will straighten it up before you glue the whole thing back together. Peace,

Dave

No you are correct. I just pushed the nosecone on for the photo , it wasnt lined up properly.
I didnt use fibre optics for the rear wall in the end. I just put white glue over the back of the holes and used Tamiya Clear colours. I have finished the side and top consoles now and added lots of fibre optics. I just have to paint them and fit them now. I will post photos later.

Heres the final photos. The side paneal are hard to see but they are there.I am finally happy with the end result

You should be happy with it. It's amazing! :love

Doesn't it feel great to complete something that you're happy with? :D

Congratulations..I have enjoyed this thread every step of the way.

You have worked extremley fast on this additionally..The results are incredible.

Great thread, great work, great Falcon :thumbsup

Thanks guys. I cut my thumb cutting a fibre optic , i have a bruised palm and blister from the twist drill and my back aches from heaving the ship around. I need a rest now!:lol

Being a builder first, and a collector second, the licensed items leave me a bit hollow feeling. My MR Falcon doesn't really do too much for me, though it is the most expensive thing I own. II almost like my FM Falcon better, since it reflects me and my meager skills.

Time to REPAINT my Falcon!
