Most underated movies (what are yours?)

Thought of another today: Noises Off.

It's a movie that is essentially exactly like the play, but it is totally awesome and hilarious. I totally recommend seeing the movie, or if your local theater is good and does it sometime, see it live. Sooo so funny. Such a good time from start to finish.

I love "Noise Off", fun flick!

I'll add "Identity".

My list:

The Book of Eli
Hunter Prey - What is not able to be done with CGI is done with PROPS and COSTUMES!!! YES!!!
Quiet Earth
A Boy and His Dog
Brazil

That's m' list an' I'm stickin' to it!

Great movie, and I'll toss in Ghostworld as long as we're on a visual literarture bent.

Speaking of ghosts....Ghost Dog, baby! Does anyone else think this is just way better than it has any right to be? Cuz I loved it. :thumbsup

The scene in American Splendor when he talks about finding someone else named Harvey Pekar in the phone book, is one of my favorite scenes of all time. Funny thing is, I am not sure just why. Cant put my finger on it. The scene just resonates with me or something.

Extreme Measures (one of the best medical dramas I have ever seen)

The Faculty

The Count of Monty Cristo (2002)

Frequency

BASEketball

The Next Three Days

Tron Legacy

I gotta add some new ones

-Wolds Greatest Dad. Mainly just for the scene when he walks in on his son. I could feel his pain

-Win Win.

-Bottle Shock

I would have to say that I think Robin and Marian was totally underrated. Given the two main stars, who I think are absolutely perfect in their roles, Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn. This movie didn't get the recognition it deserved.

.

I loved Men Who Stare at Goats because I was at Bragg and knew one of the guys involved. I couldnt believe it when I saw it was being made in to a movie. The movie changed some details but the truth was def in there....interesting group of guys. My friend, a Special Forces Major, used to ask me to 'read his cards' for him and was heavily involved with Kun Tao and Guy Savelli.

The Men Who Stare At Goats
The Mexican
Easy A
Dawn of the Dead (Remake)

The Final Countdown - I remember seeing this in the theaters as a kid. While the efx are not fantastic, the idea of a modern era aircraft carrier time traveling back to December 6, 1941 opens up some interesting thoughts of can history every be changed / rewritten?

You might like "The Philadelphia Experiment" then.

One movie I'm surprised I don't see mentioned more in lists is "The Long Kiss Goodnight". The idea of Gena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson as assassins/spies may seem like an odd casting choice as a pair, but I always thought the film was well made and satisfying to watch.

"Frequency" is one of my favorite films of all time, but I'm a sucker for messing with the space/time continuum. :D

The Fountain - One of my favorite movies of all time
Starship Troopers - Fun times
Primer - Such an incredible film on time travel

Romeos bleeding
1941
way of the gun
