Most underated movies (what are yours?)

I like Maxie... It was Ruth Gordon's last screen appearance I believe. The rest of the cast was included two great stars: Glynn Close and Mandy Patemkin. All three of them did an outstanding job. But then I think Ruth Gordon was great in everything she did.

Battlefield Earth - no I am not a Scientologist. I think the book and the movie were both fantastic.

Here's my vote...

Almost Heroes - starring Chris Farley, Matthew Perry, and Eugene Levy. Not to mention the gorgeous Lisa Barbuscia! :love

I laugh my ass off every time I watch this movie!!! :lol

ps~here's Chris' reaction shot when he hears the mother Eagle's shriek as she's coming back for yet another attack! :lol

Okay, let me throw in another vote.

Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome

This film doesn't get nearly the same love as the first two of the trilogy. Nor should it. Thunderdome lacks the same raw, gritty and dire post-apocalyptic optics and feel of MM and TRW. But still, it's a very fun watch, and personally, I think Savannah Nix is worth the price of admission alone. :love

The campiness in MMBT does not bother me, the way the campiness bothers me in another famous third film of a trilogy I don't think I need to name. Mostly because the first two films in those respective trilogies didn't have nearly the same impact on me personally, and quite frankly, are not in the same league artistically. But all comparisons aside to that other franchise, Thunderdome, the camp and all, works.
