Interest Metal Green Goblin Pumpkin Bomb Replica from Spider-man (2002)

Just an update— I’m waiting on some new black paints to complete the scallops on the props, then they will ship.

Down to five left that aren't spoken for. I'll be meeting with the guys who are helping me with the electronics in the next couple of weeks, so hopefully some good progress then.

In the meantime, if anyone has hopes of getting one of these, the chance to own one is getting slimmer and slimmer.

If any of you were curious how this compares to the Hasbro role play toy, here you go.

At $40, you definitely get what you pay for. It’s a cool toy, but definitely still a toy. Oversized by about a half an inch or so in diameter. Nevertheless, a cool collectible.

These bombs are looking excellent.Really good job. (y)
But the Hasbro is for 40$ a nobrainer. But it needs a repaint with this metal orange color to look not like cheap plastic.
And about the size..the Hasbro one is from "Spiderman No way home" that was made with CGI when I remember right.Same with the Goblin mask..so the size is not so important because there is no real prop to compare.Yours is from the 2002 Spiderman and there are real props to compare out there.

I agree on it being a no-brainer, but even being a cgi creation, it was intended to represent the physical prop used by the character in the original trilogy, so I think it’s still worth pointing out accuracy. Either way, proud to have both in my collection.

They also changed the helmet design for the new movie. So its not 100% the same Goblin that we saw 2002.
The new bomb is also more matt and weathered and the older bomb is more chrome/metallic.
Thats why I say its another version of the costume and not so important that its different from the older one in some points.

Right, I'm fully aware that there are many differences between the NWH version and the 2002 version. I guess it depends on how you view the reasoning behind those differences. And I'm clearly not against the Hasbro one. Like I said, I own it and it's a cool toy.

In other news, for everyone who purchased from my run of the pumpkin bombs, I met with the group that's working on the electronics for me. We have designs nearly finalized for some custom boards and have narrowed down the components for the main electronics. We are very close to being able to order the custom boards.

That sounds great. You should make the sound a lot louder as the Hasbro one.The hasbro explosion is really unspectacular.

Unfortunately I think that is just down to the size of speaker that is able to fit inside such a device. But I agree. Actually, I'm more annoyed by the fact that they have a laugh on the sound track as well, and it's not even Willem Dafoe, I'd prefer it without the laugh altogether, but to not even use his voice...
