Noticed something interesting in this new Japanese Iphone Metal Gear Solid: Social Ops screencap-

It's got all the weird features of the Ground Zeroes rifle and is a really close match for the FN FAL.

My best guess is that the Ground Zeroes rifle is a modified FAL.

Also found this image with a few variations on the rifle-

And it looks like there is a version that has a magazine well that isn't slanted like most rifles.

Now looking at this picture it looks like the magwell is slanted on one side and flat on the other aid in slapping in new magazines faster.

I'm guess the features that are off from the real deal come from simplifying the modeling. Like this guy did with the FAL-

Etsy do solid eye systems but with no writing. Seems to be a quality polyurethane mold as well.

Not sure if theres a HF blade on etsy somewhere.

Which not coincedentally was the same watch used by James Bond in Octopussy-



Apparently its pretty rare and pricey.

Did you make the custom grips with the knife groove?

It's actually a airsoft gun from Western Arms called the snake match 1911. It's a rare piece and hard to find outside of Japan but was able to get one. However, it arrived with a crack in the slide so I decided to try and cover it up by painting the slide silver like in the game (the slide was originally all black). Was able to find a type of paint that matched the other silver parts perfectly
