i am currently blueprinting the iDroid in my spare time. As cool as the iPhone cover is, i want an accurate replica rather than a phone cover that resembles it

I started blue printing it when the first teaser came out and it's funny how a few small details have changed from the final version.

I wanted to make it create a projection of the Omega camp using those small toy film strip projectors they used to use in toys. I'll post some pics in a bit.

Given how prominent cassettes are in the new Metal gear games, I just had to try my hand at it


I GIMPed together a replica of the MSF tape in Peace Walker (the test I printed here was a little misaligned but it should be correct for the attached template)



(the in-game example is opaque and white)



Also for those looking for references for the cassettes in Ground Zeroes, I managed to find an example

Too cool! I've been working on making the tapes as well.

I just won an auction for the correct BHF 46 tape. Pretty hard to find actually.

It's funny though since the BHF 46 variation of that tape seems to be a Japan only brand of tape. How did it get in Cuba? I also think Snake's tape Player in Ground Zeroes is also a Japan only variation of that particular brand.

I recently received these from ZanzibarLand on Etsy and am quite happy with the overall quality. Thought I'd share them for anyone who's looking to find patches so you know what they're like with scale and natural light, though the camera has made the lilac on the Outer Heaven patch look more pale than it actually is.
