Just a reminder to Customrelic, these kits will need to be assembled, including electronics, then filled and sanded until super smooth before any chroming can be done. The applying of the carbon fiber vinyl would be the last step...

Thats a very good point. For those of you who dont know, if the piece you want chrome isn't perfectly smooth, you will see it! As i said, i wont be ready by friday (i need two weeks minimum) to start accepting anything for finishing. Plus, id like to first post a service thread so members get to know me and what i offer. Take this time and assemble/prep your items. If i have to thats when costs start rising. I dont mind doing it if thats what you choose and we can price it according when the time comes. Lets not clog the op thread with finish work and questions. You guys can pm me or comment under my service thread.

Why no batteries? Canada post doesn't ask, so I don't usually tell...

It's a tiny 12volt battery, how would they tell?

Not sure about the batteries for Australia, all I know is they don't like us exporting anything with them.

I think it would be best if you didn't post with them, save any dramas through customs especially since it is a form of a gun.

Gun laws here in Australia are very tight, couldn't import the HCG pulse rifle because it was too life like and made of metal. This being a kit won't be a problem though, just would rather not have the hassles of customs.

As Spacejunk says, they don't like em on planes in Australia. If we post local and it has a battery, it goes by road.
A lot of things I buy from OS they always remove the batteries as they have dealt with Oz before.

Remember, the latest Nerf gun is not available in Oz cause it's too fast WTF...

Rather not have them return it...

Men in Black Blaster - 3D Printed Kit

These kits are awesome. Very keen to see your guy's builds. I'm still thinking I'll try chrome mine, any thoughts out there on sanding it as is vs using XTC-3D finisher to make it smooth first, then sand. My biggest obstacle is not having a join in the middle of the body. To do that I'd have to work out another way to add the electronics and a battery after it was chromed. Any ideas or comments welcome.

Rob if there is a better place to post this just let me know. Did you shift the original thread to here or does it still exist in the prop forum?
