MattyCollector "Mattel Hoverboard" discussion

I recently had Roland's stunt graphic printed and while the width is perfect, it is about an inch too long for my Matty board. Does it need to be trimmed or was it printed incorrectly? There's no evidence that it was re-sized, considering the width is spot on.

It needs to be resized for it since the footpad is too far forward, you have to shrink down the center section to get it to fit.

Could you explain how to do this? I have CS3, but am unsure how to shorten it without distorting it.

The simple answer is: You can't. ;) It has to be completely re-designed to fit the MattyCollector (or the Halloween Costumes) board and if you don't want the HOVER BOARD letters to cut and hide under the footpad. You need a vector graphic software like Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw for this job. Photoshop doesn't work well here.

I just thought I'd show this pic of the board under a black light! It glows

Nice. I want to get black lights for my cinema.

2 questions:

1. Isn't a black light a UV light?
2. Does it affect things like plastic over time?

Re: Mattel Hoverboard

The correct lenticular was originally sold by my company, Sommers Plastics. Though we do not stock the metallized pink color any longer we have been selling our HONEYCOMB clear 24" wide lenticular in rolls to many people all over the world through our website sommers dot com. In this case, one would laminate with double-sided tape (do NOT use liquid adhesive as it will ruin the 3D effect of lens) to a pink plastic or paper base. The effect is very close to the original.

Yes, Sommers Plastics and Rowland Technologies worked together many years ago to develop colors and metallized treatments to the clear lenses Rowland extruded. Sommers did the distribution and made the sales to the film studios (and other manufacturers). We carry plenty of stock of the clear and some colors at reduced prices, but for the exact match to the pink metallic CAVX is correct. HCPCLIR_.jpg

Re: Mattel Hoverboard

I would love to help the fans around the world. However, the minimum for us to run this pink metallized color is too great unless a large replica manufacturer wanted to have the genuine article and order sufficient yardage. Almost everyday we sell the clear honeycomb on sommers dot com. Sorry for the news. clear honeycomb LIR printed.jpg
