Mass Effect 3 trailer!

My guess is that the Reapers target Earth first, instead of the Citadel, because people from Earth were the only ones, recently, to destroy a Reaper. We've also messed up all their other plans. That would make Earth a big blip on the radar. They aren't solely going after Earth, we are just the biggest threat to take out before they get to every other race.

As for Freddie Prinze Jr., he was good on 24 and nothing can be worse than the abomination known as Wing Commander.

While a human did indeed defeat Saren, it was NOT because Shepard was human. After all, depending on how you one plays the game, Shepard gets to where she is thanks to the assistance of a Quanari, Assari, Krogan and Tourian who can all take part in the battle for the Citadel. To single out humanity as their number one threat comes off as self serving on Bioware's part for looking for an easy way to make the stakes higher when they aren't. If Earth goes, I won't care.

I am super excited for Mass Effect 3. I have already pre-ordered the Collector's Edition, and I'm definitely going to be one of "those people" that camps out in front of GameStop in order to get the first copy. :D

I'm most excited that Kaidan will return as a permanent squad mate. If they don't make him a romance option for me, then I will definitely get drunk and write an angry letter to BioWare.

There should be an "Elope" option at the end of the game after you've saved Earth, the galaxy, or whatever. :love

Yes, but the Reapers have shown an interest in humans since they are a threat. That's why they tried to build a Human Reaper in ME2.

I made a point of doing one playthrough, which will be my main character, where I stayed faithful to Ashley. So I hope you are rewarded somehow, as far as the story, if you were faithful through ME2 to your original love interest. Even though she was an unreasonable b*tch in ME2 she might come around. :lol

Incorrect. They chose humans because they have the most diverse gene make up than any other species in the galaxy. Also, it doesn't really matter if it's just the humans that are a threat. Every species in the galaxy is a threat. I would imagine the Krogan to be a much more deadlier enemy than the humans if the genophage was cured.

But in the end, who is the biggest threat to the Reapers?

The game points out that they view humanity as a threat because of Shepard. The crews of both ships were human with a handful of aliens. So they're not seeing a group of aliens they see that two human ships were instrumental, if not directly responsible, for the destruction of Sovereign and the Collectors.
