I'm hoping for that as well, but when they do a run of wheels they usually do over 1,000 and usually closer to 3-4k (Powell Peralta still has stock from wheels reissued in 2005). I don't see it happening, especially since they still had stock from the last run they could not sell. Also keep in mind that aside from those building replica BTTF Valterra boards and a few Madrid fans there is very little market for the overstock another run. Other skateboard companies such as Powell Peralta (Rat Bones) and Santa Cruz (Slimeballs/OJ II's) reissued wheels that were very popular with skateboarders and sold well and they still have dead stock. The copers (and even decks) are a lot easier and cost effective to produce in limited numbers.

Will they use legitimate invader trucks or just make ones similar to them. If they do that I have a set of real invader trucks I can use.
Who knows? Unlike last time they have the actual screen used prop to use as a reference source. I'm not sure what kind of trucks were used on the screen used board, but there were only a handful of companies that manufactured professional grade trucks in 1984 when the board would have been assembled. I can immediately disqualify both Independent and Gullwing because they are so distinctive that they would be recognized immediately. Tracker produced both a "Six Track" and Ultra-Light which look very similar, but used completely different copers. Sure Grip is probably the best bet, but at that time they did not manufacture the "Invader" but rather all of their trucks were just marketed as "Sure Grip". Honestly I would really like some high res and closeup photos of the hero board to see exactly what was used.
I would like more pictures of the hero board as well but they don't seem to want to release them.
This was posted to the We're Going Back Facebook page and is, apparently the final product for the 30th anniversary board. Needless to say I'm less than thrilled. The wheels are wrong, as are the copers and trucks. Looks like they just used "off the shelf" modern trucks and didn't bother to make the correct copers. So much for "hyper accurate". Honestly the 25th anniversary board was more accurate.
Did they make the logo on the front straight???!! No upgrade for the bushings and such though.. For the price you pay for, you don't really expect to change the hardware x) And the stickers placement are still a bit off, always wondering if this skateboard was smaller in length than the screen used one?
I guess it's still a good piece to have, knowing how much the real Valterras go for on ebay nowadays... And usually in poor condition.... But yeah better than nothing

Well it looks like the bushings are the right color. Also is there a difference between the fly wheels of today and the vintage ones? People seem to say that they are different.
Yes and no, the wheels on the screen used boards had the letters recessed into the urethane, there was a second version of the 2nd generation Fly Wheel which as silk screened. That is what was used on the 25th anniversary board and appears to be used for the30th as well. I'm guessing this was easier(cheaper) to reproduce than the ones with the recessed lettering. One of the other forum members has a photo of the recessed letter wheels on page 2 or 3 of this thread.

I was just there! I helped them set up the Doc Brown truck. I had to do a quick then and now of "Pine Hills".
Madrid just posted this photo of one of their pros taking a break between sessions on the board. Honestly, even though they are not completely accurate I did what I do with most boards I buy, I bought two, one to hang/display and one to skate. Since these appear to be concave I'm betting it will skate much better than the original flat Valterra board I have now. I can't even pop an Ollie on the thing without worrying it will snap.
Cool! They're screening Part 1 in the parking lot at 7 pm tonight. And I heard they're recreating the Libyan chase scene at 6.

After struggling with painting a deck to match the one in the film, I decided to cut my losses and just get one of the 30th anniversary replicas. All of the accessories I purchased for the board I intended to build are up for sale in the junkyard. Most of the parts are reproductions, though there's a couple of vintage Madrid stickers in there as well.
