Marty McFly's Skateboard - Valterra Splatter Deck Conversion

Anyone else get one of the reissue skateboards? I see the 25th anniversary edition was just listed on Ebay by someone in Gilbert, Arizona. Would that be anyone on here? Here's the details on it...

MOD EDIT: Please do not post ebay links, thanks.

Hmm... I wonder who that is. I actual live right next to Gilbert, Arizona. If I were bold enough, I would message them to see if they'd let me see the board in person. But I'm guessing they are crazy since they are selling it. I'm still waiting for We're Going Back to ship my board. It doesn't seem like they've shipped any yet. Looking forward to it!

One of the guys who worked on the latest replica posted these photos of the screen used boards to his Facebook page. In his posts he stated that Madrid has possession of the Stoltz board, while Valterra has the MJF board. The 1st photo is of the Stoltz board and the 2nd the MJF board. I find it interesting that the Stoltz board is missing the circular Madrid MFG. sticker above the rear trucks. I think on the Stoltz boards it was on the top of the board. I know several months back Madrid posted a picture of the top of a vintage Valterra board, which they described as the " Marty McFly's Valterra gripped with Fly Paper grip tape and it had a circular Madrid Mfg. sticker and the grip tape was not angled. I'll try and find that photo and post as well. image.jpgimage.jpg

I was told in an email that it would be this coming week. The reason for the delay is allegedly a problem with the heat transfer that delayed production. They are also still up for sale on the WGB site.

Weird, they had 6 or 7 boxes at the merch booth when I picked mine up at the event. Altho those could have been earmarked for people that already bought them?

I picked mine up at the event. Very happy with it. Left it in the plastic for a day, then broke it out for the visits to the real locations.

A tougher decision was to actually ride it. The first few seconds were terrifying. I definitely didn't remember my old boards being so wobbly. Then I realized it's impossible to be very stable trying to go slow and I finally kicked off. After a few minutes it was like I was 12 again and I had no problems.

So now my board has dirty wheels, but the gravel dust came from the street in front of Marty's house, Whittier High School, Burger King drive through, and Twin Pines Mall entrance and parking lot. What's cooler than that? :D

hey guys, i create skates....and I want to create Marty Mcfly skate, but i need sizes (width, length, thickness and flexure) can someone help ? :rolleyes
i tryed find in internet, but they only replica and no information about size... :(

Me too :D Really looking forward to it!

Same here. The 30th anniversary of BTTF has been of a boon for me in terms of finding some of the props I had been seeking for a while. I was looking for Bruins and looking for vintage Valterras (and tried to make my own with less than stellar results). Now I'll have both without having to scour the Earth to find them, which is satisfying.

Hey everyone! I was curious about something, if these new boards are $300, how much were the ones released in 2010?

Also, how many of these new boards are they making? Since it was 25 for the 25th anniversary, I would have though 30 for the 30th anniversary. Or if they were generous, maybe 2,015 boards. :-D

Thanks!

James

I don't remember how much the 2010 boards were. As far as how many boards they are making this time around, there was no limit to the number of boards, but apparently only available for limited time. They originally said they would accept orders from August 25 through October 25th only, however, to this day they are still for sale at: http://www.weregoingback.com/product/30th-anniversary-collector-edition-madrid-valterra-mcfly-skateboard/

I found it interesting that they said they were only taking orders till October 25th. Mainly because I just happened to stumble onto their website on November 5th and saw they were still taking orders.

I thought to myself, I better order one before I miss out, again. So that's what I did. Now I'm curious as to when they're going to ship it out?

Cheers!

James
