I started casting some helmets, but I really lack of free time in order to fix them with bondo, sand them, and make them available for a sale. Maybe someone would like to finish them for me and get a share of the profits?

I should be ready to make that run of Loki helmets soon! I'm posting some pics of the process so everyone can judge by themselves if they really want a raw or a worked piece.

This would be a completely raw kit as it comes off the mould:

After being trimmed and partially fixed with bondo:

Nottice that horns are foam filled for more resistance:

Horns attached using some big screws and lots of fiberglass:

See the screws from the inside of the helmet:

The joints then would need to be sanded and smoothed with bondo, etc.

Remember how it looks when properly finished:

I've also been working on some armor pieces (still a lot of work to do with these):

This one is already finished

If I make this run, price will have to be around $200 for a raw kit and $300 for a trimmed, fixed, sanded and smoothed kit (with unattached horns). These prices would include international shipping from Spain, which is rather expensive. If anyone would want to get a helmet with attached horns or even a fully finished and painted one, we would have to discuss a different price. I'll get some measures of the helmet soon for those who want to wear it.

I hope I can really go ahead with this. And don't miss the movie, it's the most awesome thing ever!!!

What did you use to paint it? You said "car paint" but what kind did you use? Did you use a paint gun to apply it? You got such a nice shine on everything, just wondering your process. I'm guessing you put a clear coat on after too correct?
