I wouldn’t acid age these and let Mother Nature and your natural oils on your hands do all the work

They are definitely darker in person. I thought I was going to have to age mine, but when I got it after putting on foil tape for a current V3 I was very happy with the contrast already.

Though I do still handle it occasionally to aid the patina along haha

Surprisingly, there's still some minor interest in these hilts and I managed to make a few more commissioned a356 ''kits'' before the year was out: two stunt-ready V3's and a V2. Tried a few different approaches to my machining method to try and get these better and more accurate (especially the pommels). No one will ever know the results but I'm still proud with how they turned out. These sport vintage D-rings supplied by thd9791

Main color is rustoleum flat black with a generous amount of fullers earth powder

Windvane was layers of various Tamyia coppers/bronze with some rustoleum brown over top
