Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore - Complete Prop

Hi All,

The books are very nearly ready. So i've added the run in as a November 2019 run. They will be ready to send mid to late November so should arrive to you by Xmas.

I wanted to run a little poll. This is for 3 reasons:
1. Production/material costs have gone up for this book since I first started doing this 4 years ago.
2. I've just invested in a stronger 3d printed hand embossing plate (i'd been using the old one since 2015)
3. Nothing related to this project but...I'm finally off on honeymoon in April. It's all booked, just needs paying for :D

The books are currently on here for £100. Ignoring the materials costs for this, they take about 5-6 hours per book to create. Other than the printing of the inside of the book, everything is done by hand. So the foiling, laminating, embossing and cutting to size is all done by myself at home in my little craft corner.

Obviously dont want to take the micky, so my questions are: Would people be willing to pay a little more for the books? Do you think they are worth more? do you think they are priced right? Please let me know your thoughts, guys, as this is the only thing I've ever put up on here, i'm genuinely interested in what people think.

Essentially anything out of this latest run will be helping to fund some of the honeymoon, so I can treat the missus proper.

Personally I think they’re priced very well, if they were to go up I would say maybe by £20? Where it’s at now is very comparable to other book replicas that I’ve purchased, and since you’ve sold this replica in the past it’s not the most exclusive or limited edition of items. That’s just my reasoning, but I of course would 100% understand if you had to make changes to help you create and have the finances that you require. Whatever you decide, I hope you get to have the most incredible honeymoon ❤️

This is exactly what I was thinking. I've seen some other books going for lots and lots, and personally think they have been over-priced. I'm certainly not thinking of offering it for £500 or anything like that. Unless someone is feeling generous of course! Haha!

One is the prop version and has a debossed line drawing of Rita on the back. The other is the movie version which has a photo of Rita Skeeter on the back.

There are pictures further back on the thread.

Both versions have the foiling, it's just the photo is my design file rather than a finished prop.

i might need to add some more Movie Versions as pre-orders to this. if people mostly want these, and don't mind waiting a little longer.

Hey Benny, I would rather get the movie version, but my credit card has been stolen and bank account emptied, that’s always fun but I have a payment someone sent me on PayPal last Wednesday that will hopefully clear by tomorrow, so I would be more than happy to preorder if possible
