Justified

hello projectthx138 I made in asking for help to Reproduce the marshals of id card raylan givens

The shop I use is a little Mom & Pop Shop. Infact the main thing they do is rumber stamps. Yeah I know, sounds weird! However with this being said this is the main place all the local police go to get their stuff. This place is about the size of a small childs bedroom so I really doubt they have a website. Truth be known they are not even listed in the yellow pages.... :confused I just found the place because my friend told me about them. As for what badge holder I have, once again I have no clue as they just said they would get me one but the first one I got was the wrong color so I had to try again. Like I said it took me FOREVER to get what I was looking for. These are the people that helped me get my NCIS ID Wallet and they will be the same people to get me my Raylan ID Wallet. If I had to guess on what brand everything is I would guess it is Strong but once again that is just a guess. I do know that I have to measure ALL my badges before they they do what ever they do. I am guessing because not all badges are the same size..... :confused

Sorry I'm not much help here with this. All I know is that I tell them what I want and they get it for me and that it is not cheap (and they are NOT fast).........:eek

I am so glad I decided to check here -- been a casual browser of the RPF for a while but for some reason never registered...

I'm putting together a Raylan costume as well and the only thing I can't get a hold of is the badge holder! What was the turnaround time for yours? I've got a cop friend who can buy things from LEO stores, but might need some help describing to him what I need.

I just did a run of badge holders for my good buddy who is actually a REAL US Marshal. Yes, he is a huge fan of the show and he wanted Raylan's badge holder. It took me about a month and a half to get them made but boy was my friend ever so happy when he found them in his mailbox...:)

The crazy thing is my replica badge and his real badge are IDENTICAL except mine does not have a badge number stamped on the back of the badge like his real badge. With that being said the holders worked perfect because of are stuff matching upm 100%.

I just took a photo of Raylan's badge holder into the shop along with my badge and the shop just ordered what I was needing. I do believe it is some kind of special order because of the color of leather (which may be the reason they take so long to get...... :confused).

Hope this helps you out.

Knowing the leather might be special order does help, Rick, yes. I'll print out a screencap and see about also using the pic you snapped, since the lighting will show the color fairly accurately.

If all else fails, I'm gonna call the father of one of my drum students...who is also a US Marshal! Not sure if he watches the show but I'm pretty sure he might be willing to try and lend a hand (He gave me a super sweet Marshals pin I've used on the coat that's holding me off until I can get the badge holder worked out).

I've just started watching Justified (great show, by the way) and it made me want to do a badge/wallet set and since there isn't anything out there I decided to make my own.

Thanks to the generosity of another member I got a few decent screen caps so I worked this up. It doesn't seem like the Justified card is particularly close to a real Marshal's ID. Even still, I'm not going to post anything 1:1 but I wanted to show off what I've got so far.

So, here's what I've done:

And how it compares with the screen cap:

Badge and wallet are next! :)

In the US we spell Offences: OFFENSES

Otherwise, nice work!

As I'm new to making paper props like this one: did you use cardstock to print it onto, or did you opt for a different weight of paper?

Cool, thanks. How handy's that photoshop file? I'm so close to being done with this costume I can SMELL it, haha. ;)

My ring's at the jeweler being sized, Glock's in the mail, and I'm laying my hands on that badge holder.

Just bumping and getting this thread going again. Great show and great props. Well although Raylan says he uses a 45....which would be a Glock 21, he actally uses a Glack 17....and of course the Glock 26 is his backup piece...both of those are 9mm. On the behind the scenes video clip they show they also use green gas guns that shoot air...look and function exactly like a real gun with no risk of getting hurt..I've noticed in some scenes you never see the spent brass being ejected...lol Gotta love HOLLYWOOD...lol

Hello,
is there someone willing to share the vintage "frame" that holds the text "department of justice" (even without the text itself).
I try to make my own ID but can't find a descent element for that part.
Thanks for your help

The last series is fantastic!!!!Great Tv series!!!!!
I want a ID of Raylan Someone have a good file or a good background?

Hello,
is there someone living in Kentucky near Harlan who could take and post hi-res pictures of the Justified memorabilia on display at the Harlan Center?
Thanks for any help

Many thanks for these! I'd like to make one of these badges and need to know what the text is about (text in black under ID pics and small red text).
