Well, too late to turn back now that I primed the sculpt, so here's another close-in shot of the skin detail:

It's finished and will be molding this up as soon as my materials arrive. Stay tuned for new pictures hopefully by the weekend

Looks the absolute dogs balls Vash, wicked job and i;d have to say one of the best Johnny Depp's i've ever seen. Is this gonna be resin or silicone when finished? Either would look great but i cant help but think that this would look incredible in silicone.

Thanks everyone! I'm very happy with how this sculpt turned out.
I mentioned before that the person that commissioned the piece will be getting a resin cast.
However, I'm also going to try my hand at doing a silicone cast. I'm still a bit apprehensive since it will be my first venture into silicone busts, but I'm sure it will be a good learning experience. I know the methods to go about doing it, but I still need to ask some experts about their process. Silicone is expensive and I'd rather do it right the first time than go through trial, well mostly error in my case, process.

If you want to run the piece in both I'd suggest making your mold out of urethane rubber. You can pull resin or silicone out of urethane. There's BITY tutorial videos on youtube making silicone heads in this method.
