finally test fitted the entire suit for the first time ! here is some pics.
all i have to finish is the shoulder cannon, but i guess i could go to the halloween costume contests this weekend with out the cannon.
friday night is a contest for $500, and saturday is a contest for $1000. hopefully iron patriot does well !

im interested to know what metallic red everyones using, i tried the duplicolor metal series anodized red, but its just a solid dull red with no metalized finish or metalflake. wasted my money unless youre supposed to lay it on a silver base coat.
for blue im using the duplicolor metal speck blue.
the metal speck red i used on the iron mark 6 suit, and it was perfect, but its a little too dark for the IP armor.
any suggestions would be appreciated.
i need a solution FAST, lol.

heres my progress, i got a question..
how can i seal the open gaps on the helmet, now that its primered i can see a few spotty holes here and there.
its foam, with mod podge and sem flex primer. What flexible filler can i use that wont disturb the primer? i can re-primer it afterwards too.
i also havent scored any lines on the helmet or armor, how can i do that without disrupting the paint? is that even possible?
i was thinking to paint the lines in, but now im leaning towards scoring the lines in. any suggestions?

So I printed things without adjusting scale and I pepped the elbows and they are perfect size wise, but I pepped one bicep and it seems HUGE! I'm 5"8 and was going to adjust scale for some parts but seeing that the elbows fit I figured the biceps would be fine. Does the patriot suit have big biceps and I'm missing something my only comparison comes from my war machine suit where the bicep was much more fitting and smaller but I notice that this bicep has the armpit cutout so so it in general rides higher. Thoughts?

biceps are usually much bigger than you anticipate or measure, mainly because once put together the cylindrical roundness makes them hyooge from the front view.
pay real close attention to the bicep shapes in pictures, you'll see theyre more of a rectangular shape, than a rounded cylinder like alot of people have made them. before you toss that bicep, make sure youre shaping it properly with valley cuts and proper angles.
from the side view theyre supposed to be wide, with alot of depth for tricep muscles, and from the front, somewhat thin and angular. NOT rounded and cylindrical. you'll just have to see for yourself. this is one thing i observed and accounted for in my suit.

The cannon itself is black, with red and silver accent colors (should be the same shade as the suit colors). If you google image the Hot Toys/Sideshow 1:6 scale Iron Patriot bust, you can get a pretty good idea of the way the colors are applied to the different pieces.
