So, This thread will be full of Questions that, hopefully, get answered.

So, to kick it off....
Does anyone know how I can get the fur pelts for a good price?

I made My own Davy Jones key Today.

Here's what it looks like after cutting it:



I will post pics of it painted later....

Still haven't got any fur pelts yet, so any help on them is totally useful

Okay, finished painting!!!

Gave it a coat of silver and then a mist of black for rust.

That's all for now, I am waiting on some packages in the mail with my Baldric, Skull ring and cursed Aztec medallion in them!!! should be here tomorrow...

When they arrive, I will do some pics of them, and once I get a sash, I will do a Complete costume photo

The shrunken mum head probably isn't a major part of the costume,
but out of curiosity, where is it tied to jacks baldric?

Really need an answer for this one....

The Singapore outfit is obviously photo-shopped. Great work on the key, It turned out really nice.

I got my Baldric in the mail today YAY!!!!!

It's from costumebase, and I think it looks Brilliant.

I will upload photos later cause I can't find my camera....so stay tuned for that

Found these on ebay for my beard:

These ones are EXACTLY accurate:

(sorry it's so big...)
The problem with this is, I don't have a beard, so I can't attach them :cry
If there is some beard on the internet that I can attach them to, that looks accurate, that would be great.
Especially if the beard is reusable

So, anyway, if you guys have any idea how I can attach them that would be great.

Still can't find the stinking camera.........*Rustling in background*.......It's gotta be here....

Well, back on track, I got my skull ring in the mail yesterday, and it looks pretty damn good.

It's made of metal and pre-weathered!!

Anyway,pics will be up tonight, maybe with a different camera...

Got some belt buckles in the mail, and some leather belts to boot.


Also, I finished building my wig. I might make a separate thread on that some time, If I have time, but for now, pictures will do...

I have finished sowing my SA sash as well.

(The list just keeps going...)

Now I have to focus on the main parts: Shirt, Pants and Vest.

Once that is done, the costume should start looking really full...

Sorry, still no pictures, I'll try to take a photo of all my gear together sometime, but till then,

OK, I really really really need the coin (just the coin) from jack's Piece of eight.


I know it's a pya coin from Burma, but how do i attach it? where does the ring go?
