So here's the scenario....

You have NO precision tooling/machines (like lathe machine, milling machine, or CNC)
You have NO high-tech equipment (like 3D printer)
You are to work in a cave (well... virtually like a cave because our shop is all cluttered with all kinds of stuff and I call it the BAT cave... lol:lol)
Now... what can you make with just your hands and some basic tools?
Well... I dunno about you guys... but I will make my self (and others) an ARC REACTOR...thumbsup

OK... now for the updates

1st run kits are all COMPLETE and ready for SHIPMENT!:thumbsup

Here are the 10 sets in all its glowing glory...:thumbsup

White LED...

With blue tint...

With red tint...

Complete set in its black box...

Inside the black box...
Arc Reactor - 1 set
AAA Battery case (with 3-pcs AAA batteries inside) - 1 set
Red Tint - 1 pc
Blue Tint - 1 pc

To make-up with the delay, I included 3-pcs of AAA batteries (for FREE) in each set:thumbsup

The 4-pc separable main parts of the Arc Reactor...

I'm not that good with electronics (because I'm more of a mechanical guy) but I did my best to make it clean... NO DANGLING wires here...thumbsup

If all goes well with the Post Office, all will be shipped today...

I would like to thank everyone for their patience and kind understanding.

Awesome sauce, can't wait to receive mine! Question on operating the light - if we connect the battery pack and turn it on, will it still drain the watch batteries inside the reactor case? Or does each power source run independent and not drain the other? Also how hard is it to remove the cover to install the different tinting?

NO it will not drain the watch batteries inside the reactor.

Each power source run independently.

But make sure to turn off the watch batteries before connecting the external battery pack otherwise it will drain the other.

Hi everyone...

These are the photos of the 2nd run build... 2nd run orders are only 8 sets but I made 9 so I can keep one...:thumbsup

With LED turned ON (powered by internal battery)

With its blue tint disc... light color is all blue but mobile phone camera seems not to capture its true beauty...

With its red tint disc installed...

This is to show the difference in size of the battery pack/case... 3xAAA battery pack on the left while 3xAA on the right...

PACKAGING:
So the AR unit with its accessories were put inside the black box with foam cushion...

Then the black box were wrapped in stretch film...

Then enclosed in a box formed from 1/2" styropor wrapped with packaging tape...

Finally, it was put inside a bubble envelope ready for shipping...:thumbsup

All 8 sets were shipped today...:love

PMs were sent to all concerns...

I would like to thank everyone who patiently waited for their orders and my sincerest apology on such delays.

Still currently looking for parts for 3rd run to push thru... I will advice everyone on the 3rd run interest list when parts are secured and ready....

Instruction video is currently in the making and will post it real soon...

I gotta say, your attention to detail, even on the packaging is amazing. I'd be tossing the thing in a box with some bubble wrap and calling it good. If I ever decide that I want to do an Iron Man costume I'm definitely going with your arc reactor.
