And can be easily removed...

This is the demo video of our Arc Reactor (sorry for poor video quality)... Iron Man 2 Wearable Arc Reactor (Movie Props Likeness) - YouTube

That would be all... hope you like the kit...:)

Thank you very much

cheers!

Re: Ironman 2 Wearable Arc Reactor - KIT COMPLETE!!!

Lovley work!

Thanks man:)... wow, this is your very 1st post on our thread... couldn't be more happier as you are one of our inspiration... and we are fans of all your IM works.:thumbsup

cheers!

Re: Ironman 2 Wearable Arc Reactor - KIT COMPLETE! (COPIES ARE NOW BEING MADE)

that's gorgeous! awesome work! How much are you charging for them?

Re: Ironman 2 Wearable Arc Reactor - ARC REACTOR IMPROVEMENTS!!!

OUR ARC REACTOR UNDERGONE SOME MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS...

DSC00633.jpg

1st run 10 sets current status... all the mechanical parts were done
DSC00637.jpg

All the said improvements were implemented...
DSC00639.jpg

DSC00641.jpg

IMPROVEMENT DETAILS:
1)Prototype - NO coin battery holder (the coin batteries were just fixed using double sided adhesive tape)
Revision - Made a coin battery holder out of resin (mould and cast)
DSC00659.jpg

2) Prototype - LEDs were just solder together (a bit messy to look at)
Revision - Designed a PCB layout and to proceed with the PCB build
DSC00645.jpg

The above PCB design is a prototype... I will revise it to improve its positioning and mounting inside...

3) Prototype - Glass cover (actually clear plastic:)) are not securely fixed on the aluminum casing (might accidentally fall)
Revision - Drilled 2 screw holes on aluminum casing and secure the glass cover with 2 screws

4) Prototype - Lighting effects is a bit different from the actual props used in the movie.
Revision - Have finally come up with the design that will replicate the movie lighting effects.
Arclightcompare.jpg

The white translucent ring/circle on the prototype was turned to white opaque ring.
DSC00654.jpg

The innermost circle/part appears to be segmented when lit (same as the movie props)
DSC00653.jpg

The prototype PCB assembly were installed inside...
DSC00646.jpg

The lines on the innermost ring was actually a reflection of the lines below it.

5) Overall look of the arc reactor were changed/improved with the use of improvised tool for parts preparation and the use of other standard parts found.
ImprovedArc.jpg

The metallic bar on both side of each coil/winding were changed to a found standard part that amazingly resemble the movie props.

I paste our arc reactor (only edited the hue and saturation to fit the color) on Tony Stark's chest
ArcChestcompare.jpg

Its not exact... but pretty darn close :love:thumbsup

Lots of "hand-held" photos below...

Looking at it closer, you will find that all the circles were perfectly cut compared to the prototype... this was the result of making improvised tool for material preparation

Hope you all appreciate our pursuit to making this arc reactor as screen accurate as we possibly can.

Comments and suggestions are highly appreciated

Thank you very much for watching and for your time

cheers!

Damn, brother, that is pretty darn close. Quite impressive for a hand-made prop!

How much for a kit? These are gorgeous, a build you can definitely be proud of :)
