sorry to jump in but ive been using acrylic craft paint from walmart. it covers well and is very flexibal(sp) ,, only thing is the lighter colors might need a base coat first, like gold and yellow with a white base - u have to brush them on ,, i found it gives the foam more detail. hope this helps. also coat it lightly with clear coat to seal it.
Hinge method for which part? The legs? In the end I didn't have time to do anything at all with the legs, the only down side was that the kneecap from the shin ended up on the outside of the thigh rather than the inside.

Thanks Berserk I did get inundated for a while. Spent a good hour stuck in the same place getting photos on more than one occasion, but it's all in good fun and I wouldn't cosplay and build these costumes if I minded.
oh **** your in Adelaide!!! well done, I went to the perth con last week... was crazy... i'd just finished a mark 4 and wanted to be in the comp... I only went sat and didn't know the comp was on sun so I blew it lol... you must have been mobbed, it took me an hour to get in the door from photos. congrats on winning best movie cosplay, im jealous
