Lest we forget Kathleen Kennedy's endgame.

New trailer makes it look like a LOT of fun. I like all the back amd forth banter about adventures and stories we have not seen.

I also like the set up of depressing/ boring retirement then a big adventure like the old days.

Whole lot less skeptical now , maybe Mangold will pull this off.

I'm guessing Indy will be divorced from Marion and estranged from Mutt. He uses the time machine to repair his marriage and get the chance to reconnect with his son. Or the machine is a fake but they all learn a valuable lesson in the end anyway

Then Helena buries Indys fedora in the sand, stands up and says. ..

"I'm Helena. Helena Jones."

"Somehow, Donovan returned."

I hope that dial thing is not going to be the only prop to collect. I didn't see much else in the trailer to suggest a series of props like the first three movies and a flashlight and Mutt's knife were about the only things (beyond a 4th version of Indy's Fedora) to collect from Crystal Skull other than the skull itself (unless you wanted a vintage fridge to hide from atomic weapons).

Huh? Rewatched the trailer and caught the comments regarding the McGuffin being stolen back and forth being called “capitalism” by Helena? Huh? Capitalism is “stealing”??

A very odd political message to put in there.

I must assume Disney is not in this for the money and will be donating the proceeds from the film, lest they be accused of “stealing” from movie-goers.
Another "subtle" woke message:rolleyes::(

So the Director is on record stating that Indy isn't being replaced. So my question to the doubters out there is, what counts as Indy being replaced?
Scenarios:
1.Helena Shaw gets a spin off Movie
2.She inherits the Fedora
3.She takes the name Indiana Shaw
4.She takes the name Indiana Jones

Yeah that “capitalism” comment puzzled me too. That literally makes no sense in that context…

I’m still suspecting Indy either dies or pulls a “Steve Rogers” with all this time manipulation stuff so I think Helena symbolically inheriting the fedora and having her own globetrotting/Mcguffin seeking series would count as replacing Indy.

My only thing is, would anyone actually care to see some random person in the 1970s-80s doing as such? Seems like that would have pretty limited appeal. Unless maybe it’s actually going to be an origins story for Carmen “Helena” Sandiego? Lol

Oh, come on, people. Yeah, it’s a stupid line, but it’s nearly identical to the stupid line from Crystal Skull.
