I'll have to wait until I get home to install the D ring with my bolt cutters (thanks for the video on that!), but this is absolutely fantastic! Feels like I snuck in to the set and stole away with something off the prop table. Has a great heft to it. I'm very glad I spent the time researching the various saber creators and eventually fell into this one.

Someday I'll have my work cut out for me filling it with the proper components (or saving up and getting someone far more competent to do so), but for now my biggest quandary is how/where to display it so it's appreciated by people yet not stolen off my 'prop table.'

Thanks for the awesome saber, Roman! I think I dove into the deep end of the pool on my first jump.

Full disclosure, I found Roman from watching all off your Obi-wan videos... and your video for Oliver is actually what was the tipping point for deciding to go this route because I realized how props can hold so much personal and sentimental value.

I'm about a month out from the arrival of my second child, so I'm a bit extra sentimental lately (plus I like to go full bore once instead of collecting lots of items) and it might be a little bit before I can justify getting the full electronic upgrade, but I'd definitely love to see what goes into making that happen (money and time-wise) because you do great work!

Oliver's story was too sad... I had only a short time to get to know him a little via email, and I hope that his son can carry on with a smile knowing his father loved him so much. It was the last gift....

Yup! All I had to do was install the d-ring (I hadn't done it yet as of that picture). The grenade is a little bit darker in person since that image is through an Instagram filter, but otherwise it's pretty true to image.

Funny little moment after I brought it home, my 2 year old wanted to hold it, so I let her under close supervision. She immediately went 'vrummmmm vrummmm' while swinging it and then "Heavy!" I didn't know she knew that word.

I think this means I pretty much have to be Obi-wan for Halloween now...

Let me begin by saying thank you to all of you here on the RPF for showing all the builds and pictures. I am a Newby to all the saber builds. I was recently introduced to some info from my friends Robiwon and Tom1971 with what a graflex saber is ... I admit I am new and learning a little at a time.... I realized that I now ....want to try and get one in the future..since I am very intrigued ...with all of you prop builders on these sabers... I cant afford anything like this just yet...unfortunately. .. but I would love to own one of these sabers...I appreciate all of you...helping someone like me to get helpful info and learn...you guys are doing very impressive work on these...and I had no idea...so much went into these sabers . I must admit also..the sabers I got are MR version Vader lightsaber and a FX Darth maul double bladed saber...but neither hold the detail to any of you prop builders work . So I thank you for helping me to better understand what a true replica really is and should be....

I was actually a member here years before I became active. I took a look around and bailed as I knew I could not afford anything at that time and sure enough when I re-joined later when I was doing well financially I spent at least 20k here within two to three years. And that's on a teachers salary.
