Been fiddlin' around with those Hogwarts playing cards a bit. Revised the backs to be a little more "dynamic". Here's a couple of images.

A Daily Prophet about Amelia bones, It's actually a photo of an accessory that came with an action figure, I randomly stumbled across it in a reveiw of some figures on some website. I've never seen that DP before!

Thanks for the encouraging comments on the cards ecl, beechy, jhadha and wooze.

ecl I had actually pictured the cards as an old worn non-plasticized set, used and abused, stained, grimy and bent but still usable held together with a rubber band.

But every deck of cards starts out nice and crisp so a nice new set would be great for sure.

Actually wooze, I've pretty much got them finished, I just need to do some tweaking to make sure the set is consistent from card to card.

@Barney - Your card designs are amazing, I can just picture these being used in the common rooms or in the great hall, such wonderful attention to detail I particularly like the few elements of the Hogwarts express ticket being in there as well, really pulls the set into the existing world of props.

Great eye, I was wondering if anyone would pick up on the elements from the Hogwarts Express ticket. I must have tried a dozen different designs for the backs then it hit me to use the filigree from the ticket and it just seemed to work (for me anyway :lol).

@Magic: Welcome. I like the idea you have a Master who keeps the traditional ways alive. My dad used to be a commercial hand painter and I can remember as a little boy sitting and watching him do his work for hours. He made it seem effortless.

Lovely Jhadha. The whole prophet looks great. Would be a lovely addition to anyone's collection. Will you be uploading these in high res for the forum?

On another note, there was a complication with dispatch so my Wizard's Collection will arrive on Friday (estimated.) I should be able to get the scans up by the weekend.

I think that it is about elementary instructions of following lavished by the Ministry of Magic! Thus for me, it is written: "MINISTRY OF MAGIC - PUBLIC NOTICE" !

I hope, that one day you will share it with us freely? ^^

@jhada: It could be a scaled down, slightly modified version of the Ministry Public Notice poster which also had 7 items listed. I think the top part in the newspaper article has been changed slightly is all.
