This has probably been posted somewhere, but is it alright to use your graphics on crafts to sell? I am working on some HP items for my Etsy shop and I need some good book covers and labels for some mini items!

I'm pretty sure people know where I stand on this one...that's a BIG negatory!!!

On a positive note, I was so inspired by elliotstone's poster for the 2012 Olympics that made it to the finals on the MinaLima blog that I looked up the Keep Calm poster history.

I thought what a perfect prop for the dark days of DH Pt 1 and 2 so i came up with my humble effort to capture the Ministry of Magic's efforts to calm the population in the face of the Death Eaters uprising.

@DavyHPfan: Why we doing exams before Hogwart's has even gone back?? The Hogwart's Express doesn't leave til 1st September to take us there for another year..

Because of the very simple reason that some people may have to revise for proper exams or do important things for work, and I want them to not be distracted by anything like OWL's. Plus I've been planning this for close to a year and I was afraid people were getting a bit impatient
If it was a conclusive decision by all I'd do it, but so far it's only you who has said it so sorry. Timetable says today and today they shall go up

Lemonlemonuk what a great design and I love the fact that you used the subway style graphics to recreate the Olympic rings, such a wonderful and refreshing idea. I really like the subway design and in London bought several souvenirs that featured the design. Its great that we have two members being posted on MinaLimablog.com. I left a comment saying "I really like the subway inspired one it's a very original idea."

I'm waiting for vids to go up from their panel at Leakycon, apparently it was amazing.

Also Barney I really like your design its very appropriate for that time, it'll fit in really well with the other Ministry posters.

Looks incredible! But just one creative comment, when saying Olympiad, you use the number the most recent game, such as this one being the XXX (30th) Olympiad. Yours says the MMXII Olympiad, or the 2012th Olympiad.

I do hope I'm making sense. Im a HUGE Olympics fan and have done quite a bit of history and research on them. lol

As for the etsy situation, I've always wondered why it seems ok for some people to make money off of someone else's stuff as long as "credit is given" while you pocket the change. I can understand if you made a few props for your personal collection using some of the images, and someday decide to sell off that collection, but this situation is different.

btw, there's an "Easy Spells to Fool Muggles" book on ebay right now...that has my cover art file on it and i'm not the seller haha.

Also up is the accompanying answer paper.

hey ecl you should remake Snape's copy of advance potion making or tales of beedle the bard but this time print it on fabric like you did for the rune dictionary just to try it out and see what happens?

Actually I'm working on those now, just haven't had much time to do it. Definitely a cloth Potion book is something i'd like to get done.
