Harry Potter free paper props - all movies and more!

Wow Bfd! Great looking stuff, nice job on the MBRC photo cards! Much better then what I came up with, that's why you sir are the master and I the student. *bows* LOL!

Thanks talyn. Nothing wrong with your versions at all.

Absolutely no intention on my part to "one-up" you. I just happened to be working on these when you were posting yours. They turned pretty nice and I just wanted to show a couple of photos is all.

Edit: could probably use the answers to see what grade you've achieved.

@ bfd: the answers you're given are not the exact right answers. For some questions we just have to less canonical information to be sure.
It's a way to get an outstanding, I had an oustanding on these too with slightly different answers so we don't know for sure. Jo has never told us the answers:cry

I got inspired by a logo I found on google and decided to make this: A ministry pet request thing. I thought it might be fun.
I'll also post the logo for any who want it.

Oh and also great work to everyone, some really awesome stuff lately!

Awesome thanks for that found a nearby store! I'll be using it as a display cabinet for HP.

For a great Harry Potter display idea, Garden Ridge is selling large and small red London phone booths which have hinged interior shelves. Sounds like you could have your own Ministry entrance in your home.

You are correct Tim, there apparently is no published list of "correct" answers and there seems to be several variations to get an Outstanding.

Some have speculated it might even be a right minus wrong scoring system but nobody knows. I provided those answers for convenience is all and they are just one way that achieved an Outstanding. If you (Or anybody else) have another set of answers that works please feel free to post them.

I'm sure it will make for some interesting discussion for those who get together to take the test.

is anyone still using the WiBr site cause there doesn't seem to be much activity on it?

The first OWL exam is gonna be put up on the 14th if those people didn't get the message.

So I was at Ikea this morning and found this neat bottle. I'm going to use it to put apple cider in, but, I thought it would look that much better as a bottle of wine. Say...house elf wine.

The label attached isn't overly fancy (as I'm not feeling all that creative today), but it'll do for now. Not canon, sadly, as we don't know what kind of wines they made and if the label would go to the house of the elf, or the house of its master.

And then, not on paper, but it does require the use of a porcelain marker/pen and it's ridiculously easy to make. The Grim, in my tea!

I plan to use these mugs to serve tea at work, with several HP-loving colleagues. And then randomly blurt 'holy hell, it's the Grim!'

Must keep things interesting.

Nice graphics lily and oliver.

Mllesvenskah that quidditch program is very well done.

Here is something I'm working on now; scanned a copy of the noble collection Marauder's map and reprinting it with laser/copy toner to get that semi shiny look for the graphics (as on the film prop) and aged with acrylic washes. Also tweaked the scale of the graphics as they're slightly different than what is seen on the prop on display in the tour. I actually really like the noble map, but like most of their stuff, they don't have really authentic finishes. Still a lot of subtle aging to do, but I'm trying not to get it any darker, as I was able to match the color very close to the marauder's map Prop trading card I have.

So far only the cover and first spreads have been done; the two halves aren't connected yet.

I'm pretty sure its a Gringotts recruitment ad for curse-breakers.

HP Wiki:
"Are you seeking a challenging career involving travel, adventure, and substantial, danger-related treasure bonuses? Then consider a position with Gringotts Wizarding Bank, who are currently recruiting Curse-Breakers for thrilling opportunities abroad...." —Harry Potter quoting the pamphlet[src]

An unidentified pamphlet on Wizard banking was a leaflet containing information for young wizards and witches who are interested in pursuing a career in Gringotts Wizarding Bank, which is handed out during O.W.L. year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. According to it, one needs a passing grade in Arithmancy.

Hope this helps.
