Davey I look forward to reading through the OWL exam, thanks for posting it.

ecl is there anything you can do with the Etsy situation, I'm not that familiar with that site's rules of conduct.

Barney, The thought of you 'ripping me off' never once crossed my mind I was just happy to read that something I made was able to inspire someone else.

It's on ebay, and my past experience regarding reporting auctions is not good. They don't seem to care at all when it comes to stuff like that. Once I reported an auction repeatedly during its duration, where the seller was trying to sell something under false advertising (essentially lying about what he had). This is a much more serious offense naturally, and ebay did nothing about it and let some poor bidder end up winning the auction for far too high. Ebay is nicknamed "Feebay" basically because all they care about is making money :)

Nothing wrong if someone decides to make something for their own collection but then eventually decides to sell it. That's different than someone who is taking the stuff and continuously offering for sale somewhere else. Which the etsy guy was suggesting earlier :(

Thanks elliot, I figured you would be okay with it.

@ecl, I normally just contact the seller when I noticed they were selling my prop replicas on ebay. I just tell them the replica was made by me and asked them to remove it. I would say about 90% of the time they remove it no problem. Most of the time they comment they did not even know whose it was, they just "found" it on the internet.

Worth a try.

I thought I'd post a pic to show my progress on the Triwizard Tragedies cover, its slow progress but I really want this one to be great as its one of my favourite props.

What is everyone else working on at the moment?

P.S: can you adjust the size of image attachments? If so could someone PM me with some directions please :)
 
@Jhadha: Haha...oh no :( I guess it's to be expected that people will do that. At least they aren't good at finishing the books lol. But I still think experiencing the fun of sharing and making these props amongst us and adding nice stuff to our collections is all worth it.

@Elliot: The Triwizard book is looking more awesome each time. That's a really challenging cover you've chosen to work on. Really fantastic. Can't wait to see it finished!

Your book cover looks great, really coming along nicely. Nailed the images right on.

I think to resize your attachment you pretty much have to do it in a program like photobucket or similar. You resize it to what you want copy the link and when you post here on therpf you use the "insert image" button in the advanced screen and insert the http location.

I have been resizing my attachments to anywhere from 360 pixels to 420 pixels wide when posting. Its not too big but allows some detail of the image.

@jhadha, you seem to have a HQ graphic for the price of a Daily Prophet issue, the 1/4 sickle and knut thing. do you think you could spare it?
 
Wow...everybody's stuff looks great.

I've been working on this. Barney & Potion Mistress, you inspired me along with Hagrid's original container. It's not cannon, but it's all mine.
