Harry Potter free paper props - all movies and more!

@Barney: Yes, I spray painted the paper first with gold spray paint; I used a fine spray nozzle so it actually goes on very flat and doesn't wrinkle the paper at all. I then went to the copy center and made the copy myself. All I did was open the tray in the copier for the 11x17 paper and put my sheet inside. It goes through very easily. Actually do this a lot at the copy center, and so far no one there has said anything about it hehe

The final dimensions for this book is 6.25" x 9.25" x 1" ( The file I posted before is for a book with a 1.5" spine i believe, but I do have a couple variations of the file if someone needs it.)

CHAMPION NOTE - HARRY POTTER

I've placed a front and back image of Harry's Champion Note on the first page of this thread under BARNEYRFD'S STUFF - Goblet of Fire.

Although you don't get a real good look at any of the champion notes besides Fleur's in the movie, the Film Wizardry book has decent enough images of all of them in it to replicate.

Thanks to JamesDragon34 for providing me with a couple of great scans of the notes from the book.

I'm working on Diggery's and Viktor's and will post soon.

(I guess I was full of it a few pages back when I said there were no good images of the notes besides Fleur's. Is there a smiley for "full of BS" :lol)

I don't know the actual size of the note but I set it up to print in a 4" x 6" box. Its 300 dpi so you could make it a little bigger if you like.

Hi bfd,
I am very happy that you are doing all of the notes. I really am glad to have all four, thanks so much for doing them :)

Very much welcome wooze. I will be doing front & back for each with and without backgrounds so they can be printed on whatever paper you like.

@ecl : omg the book is just wonderful, it works really good on your paper! I'd like to have a widthless version of this book as it's hard to find a thick notebook for me :(

oh I got it, the spine is not a spine at all! That's easy then!
I am regret to say that, for the back there is actually one more cat on the left but I'm unable to add it :/ also I think we'll need to do some color adjustment to make them look sharp.

@Hinky: Don't think like that Hinky you are my hero!

@Aj23: Everything in the park was approved by Jo. So everything is really and I take it like a lot of other fans as canon.

@Hinky: I love you work, so don't get mad

Managed to pick up the Film Wizardry book today for only $25 at my local 2nd hand bookstore:thumbsup. It was complete with all the props, a very nice find, and I saved a few bucks in the process.

@Barney: I absolutely adore the platform 9 3/4 design! I'll definitely use it today!

@ecl: You're brilliant at mking these books! Did you already finish The Tales Of Beedle The Bard? :)

Previously, Someone posted the hi-res images from this site: Harry Potter: 23 Astounding Props | EW.com
How did you get the pictures? because I would like get the ones from other sections, like the sets, etc.

Also: I have a question: what would you suggest for fonts for the inside of a hogwarts textbook? and how about clip art/graphics, for spell effects etc.?

P.S. a lot of posts are getting lost and going unanswered because this thread is so busy! do try and answer people's questions, please!

no design or anything, but appreciate the work you do and show you the results in the photos.
is wonderful as you do the world J.K. Rowling closer to us

THANKS

I believe in those pics on EW.com there are some pics from the inside of the potions textbook, maybe a font reminiscent of that would work. A while back, we all discovered free versions of the fonts from The Daily Prophet, you'll have to do a search the forum but eventually you'll find the link. Those will all probably work well.

@decat: you are correct, a lot of posts do go unanswered or get lost on this thread. It's a large busy thread that has many things going on at once and it can get frustrating if your question remains unanswered or passed by. Its just hard to stay focused on a single item with all this info/ideas/banter coming at ya.

Plus, I've found a lot of members are what I call "silent members". They like the site but just want to follow, not participate. That's what I did for quite awhile myself. I just felt I had nothing to offer so I kept silent.

If you want an answer or opinion for something you should be very specific about what you are asking and ask someone specific. Just throwing a vague question out there likely won't get it answered.

As for the Hogwarts text font, books are not my normal input but in my opinion most of the books use a serif type of font like Times Roman. The goofy or handwritten fonts are generally used for documents, forms, notes, etc.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks Anneleen that's nice of you. I still need to finish the gold parts on the Beedle bard book! I'm painting those parts by hand, and all the little diamonds are the border won't be fun to do haha. I'll post photos for sure when I finish that!

idk when ill be getting to the Exhibition to get any information on the Bezoar box. but in the mean time could some take a look at these? sort of random but i just love it haha

This would be a great label to have for sure.

This one is out of my league so I will not be tackling it.
