The light red helmet is not pictured.

Making one suit by Halloween=easy. Making the Red team and the Blue team and possibly a coupld more? Now that's a challenge.

hey people im now making my armor and its not going so well how do you make your armor so strong all i did was fiberglsass and aqua resin and my helmet is destroyed when i sanded it down and now i am making my chest piece ill post pics. What is that blue stuff for thorsolli? R u still selling armor? Cause if you are or if you could make ma some armor im 4'11 and weigh about ninty punds im thirteen.

WOW its the only word i have to say, that work is awesome!. I wonder what kind of glue you use to glue the paper? im starting with all the pepakura thing and i dont know what glue to use

The blue stuff was for the mold he was making to mass produce the armor. As for fiberglassing your helmet, I am curious to know did you use fiberglass matte or cloth? if your layers were too thin obviously that would cause structural issues and you would want to make sure to do a few layers to get a good thickness for sanding... Its hard to say without any pictures what may have happened, and I am by no means an expert, but I hope you can get it figured out!

I finally got a chance to put some hours into my MkVI helmet redux this week. Here's about how it looks right now:






With a bit of luck I'll have this thing all smoothed out and ready to go under the rubber in a couple more days. I've been getting sidetracked by my other projects. Right now I'm in the middle of building Space Marines, HALO weapon props, and Star Wars Republic Commandos. I'm also about to mold the M9 Tempest from Mass Effect 2.

In the middle of casting parts for those, I'm pulling additional castings of my MkVI parts so I can make my next three suits of HALO armor. That'll be Tucker, Agent Washington, and the Meta.

As always, stay tuned...

Are you kidding me dude? this thread is my text book right now so I can get home and build the awesome kit of yours thats sitting at my house ;)

And I would follow more intently at 405th, but I can't stand it over there, especially since I can't post anywhere at all....drives me friggin insane...

I hate to say it, but the 405th is turning into a ghost town...I feel like a guy walking into an almost completely empty convention. It's actually quite sad :unsure

its just, no offense, all children and pep models of everything. And again no offense, but i just don't see the appeal to pepakura anymore. EVERYONE does it. Some better than others, obviously with our illustrious thread creator here. But thats why I bought my kit from him, with the intention of working my finishing magic to make it the best out there.

And then they feel they are the best of the best...so my contributions and creations that i have posted here and at TDH, or 300DC, don't even matter, because unless I've pepped something and posted it there, I'm not allowed to post practically anywhere. It's a terribly run board with a bunch of ego maniacs I'm afraid...

Just out of curiosity as I didn't see this mentioned, and figured 20 pages that I have not been keeping up with the thread for was to many to just glance through effectively (kinda pic heavy), I figured it'd be okay to look like a total moron and just ask. SO, the question is, where did you get 1) the original visors? 2) the cellophane in that color (I suspect I could grab some from work if I had to)?
