Hey Kevin, I made some cold cast this morning! Mind you, it's the first time I do this and I'm pretty sure I could use a lot more powder .. that thing is costly! I quickly rubbed it with steel whool 000 and I definitely like what I'm seeing!!

I might offer them if there's demand. Not sure about price for all 12 parts!!

Dust your molds with the aluminum powder if you aren't already. Then mix the powder in your resin. I cold cast with Onyx, so give that a try :)

Damn .. very good point Kev! That'd be me casting without checking my saved tutorial first!! Will try it on my next run in 3 hours!

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy : Starlord Gravity Mine & Infinity Orb

Update time, it's been a day! :)

If you're wondering why I haven't taken money or shipped anything yet, it's because I'm having trouble with the greeblies. Since they're so small, I'm probably gonna send 4 greeblies instead of 3 per set. That way, if they break, or get lost, you'll have a spare .. I've seen that in previous kit and I think it's the safest thing to do.

Also, I've had the greeblies reprinted separately (2 wires) and a tad larger so that casting and demolding is easier. They're drying right now, and these will ship with the v2 version too. They'll be a little easier to work with.

Also, my parts dusted with powder and cast 1:1 with powder are in the pressure pot, I'll get them out in about an hour to see the result.

I really want to nail every part before starting to pick money as it might still drag for a few days. STILL, if any of you wants to reserve a spot on top of the list, you can PM me for payment with your address, if I don't already have it, and if you accept on the wait time!

Will update later with pictures as usual!

Fresh out of the mold. This is with about 30 seconds of cleaning with a blade .. no sanding or putty necessary! Also rubbed with steel whool .. not soo much, could have spent much more time to make it looked a lot shinnier. Now we're talking! Thanks Kevin for the tip!

You can see one of my ironman bolts that I also casted with the extra material I had .. Damn .. this is exactly what the Mark 2 armor should be made from!!!

Ok people .. while I'm waiting for another mold to be finished .. I thought I'd check where I was in term of mines done .. I was just casting them between volvo panels .. and I thought I'd look at what was in that bucket ...

Boy .. I'll be able to ship about 10 of them at the same time.

v1 on the left and v2 on the right. Greeblies are in progress. It's the only thing missing to you guys your mines!

New greeblies mold is half done now!

As I said before, I will send 4 sets of wires in each box .. that way, if something break, you'll have some spare. It's still much better then cooking them directly in the leg .. that would have looked terrible for everyone!

Also, that big vent on the left is also your pivot rod. So I'll include 3 of those in every set so you won't have to run around or order some rods online .. I save you the trouble. :D
