A quick update shot.
I went in with Photoshop and picked out some of the recessed detail in black to give you an idea what the final prop would look like.
As I mentioned previously I am a bit reluctant to paint the recess' at the moment in-case I make the run of casts a go, and the RTV may take some of the paint off and would mean re-painting it anyway so there's no sense in making work for myself with 2 paint jobs.

I went to see the film yesterday (Thursday) in IMAX 3D and it was absolutely brilliant another fantastic film from Marvel, and there are some great shots of the Orb in the film.
No spoilers I promise!
I would highly recommend going to see the film as soon as you can.

Let's get this rolling! Anyone planning on tackling the triangular holder Quill uses when he first gets the orb? I think that would make a great stand. Can't find many reference photos though

I haven't seen the movie yet but I heard the orb opens up and reveals a infinity stone in it. Anyone have pic's of this?

It sure does.
I'm away from my workbench for the next 2 weeks because of my job.
I'm going to aim to get the Orb molded and make casts to sell by the end last weekend of August.
I will post an update and ask that payments are made before I start to ship them out.
Expect an Orb update in the next 2-3 weeks.
Thank you for your patience, it will be worth the wait.
