I finally finished to paint my orb I have used revell paint, as I really like these, no need to primer hehe

I am really tempted to create dark grey areas around the black bits, like it seems to appear in the movie, not sure yet...

Did you hand brush the colours on or did you airbrush/spray the silver and then pick out the black with a brush?

Hand brushed

Started with the silver and filled the holes with the black.

Here's mine.

Cleaned up, primed and painted black, then just dry-brushed with silver and gun metal. Clear coated with satin.

That just looks heavy...

It is not that much heavier than it was prior to electroplating. I don't have a scale to weigh it, but I do think it could cause some damage if thrown at something.
