great name choices...THE BEAST!!!! or GRIZZLY.....

what a way to push the envelope as far as design goes..

Cheers folks
I've uploaded my moulding pics to photobucket so next time I get a bit of spare time, i'll put that tutorial together that I promissed.
Still no developement......got rid of the candles.....but they have been replaced with an assortment of savory holiday style snacks.......sometimes I f*cking hate Xmas!!.....wouldn't be so bad if I had a garage or at least a shed that wasn't filled to the brim with kids summer toys lol.....oh well.....only another week to go and I can get stuck in again.

As for the name.....I quite like "Beast" aswell lol.....so I guess i'm going to have to start a poll.....as I now have 3 name choices.
1.Grizzly
2.Beast
3. Trevor

.......it's a tough one........especially as I havent a clue how to make a poll lol

no polls allowed.....

besides you being the artist...you should name your creation...

it's a tradition on the lair. pick one

I'm no good at choosing names lol......I nevr bothered naming any of my other heads.....and I gave the job of naming my bio to Vaderdave.
I got to be honest......Trevor has lost some of it's apeal since Grizzly was suggested......but I also like Beast now lol

.........someone else pick one....I hate choices lol

Thanks everyone.....@ Joe....it does look fun to paint and hopefully, I'll be able to find out next week lol.
Small update........I've decided to go with the name "Grizzly".....as it does suit him....so cheers to Gene for the suggestion.

I have decided to remove the horns for the resin mould for two reasons.
1. they are made of resin and I will have trouble getting them out of the mould.
2. As the mask will be silicone which is translucient (however thats spelt lol) I'm not too sure about painting them to look realistic......so I thought it would be better to make the horns seperately from resin...then I can paint them seperately aswell making it easier to paint the mask aswell...then stick them on after.

So here are a couple of shots of the sculpt....fixed more or less and with the horns removed aswell as the neck ring....and with the neck skin details added.

I dont know when I will get around to moulding this as when I was doing the mother mould for the silicone mould, my neighbour knocked and asked me if I could keep the smell down a bit lol.....he was worried about his lizard not being very active.....I told him that it was probably because it is the middle of winter and they dont like it when it's cold....plus....it must be ******* boring being stuck in a little glass box all the time with little to no stimulation.
Anyways......it's not the lizards fault lol......I had no idea that the smell would penetrate into next door.....and I guess that as it is the middle of winter....people are not going to want to ventatlate by opening all the windows as all the heat will escape.
So I dont know when or where I will mould this.

......perhaps I could use the time to put that tutorial up that I keep mentioning lol

That is pure insanity!! It looks amazing! The amount of time and talent put into something like that blows my mind. That is a beast of a pred, very spiney too! Congrats on the amazing work and cant wait to see more!!!

Cheers guys.......no updates just yet i'm afraid, sorry
Been busy with another commission.
I am slowly getting one ready for painting tho which I am hoping to start by the end of this week......so hopefully, I will have an update then.
Cheers again

I wonder if it would be the same size as your Mamba mask? Reason why I ask is cause I am a short Pred and your Mamba mask fit my size perfect

******* killer work. ******* amazing work... Your work is getting quite good man. I love your style....

Cheers guys.........I'm still not making much progress i'm afraid.
As a very small update tho....he is now undercoated.
As far as size goes....he is quite a bit bigger than my "Mamba" ....the reason for this is basically, a friend of mine wanted a pred suit.....he's 6'7"...with quite a large head.....and I wanted a 1/1 scale resin bust for display.....
Here are a couple of comparison shots next to my closed mouth mask "Mamba"

At the widest part of the crown, he is 13" accross (bear in mind tho that measurement was taken point to point and the pointy bits on his crown jutt out a little from his actual head) and from the very tip of the top of the crown down to the bottom of his chin is 20.3/4"........so he's a big fecker lol.
