Grizzly Elder Bust Sculpt (Finished Pics Page 7)

Cheers fellas....hopefully i'll get some more done next week, busy this weekend....probably a good thing as it will give it a chance to dry and firm up from being blasted with white spirit.

@Morbius.....This is just going to be a resin peice for display only, I do plan on making an entire skin for Grizz....just not at the mo as I dont have the space.....plus, I've never sculpted a torso before , so I'm using this project as a practice run.

Cheers again

Alost finished now, have done something with the base, blended some more and added quill holes

I can't wait to see this Grizzly beast finished!! The quills in between the shoulder spikes are going to look insane.

Cheers guys......I cant wait to see it finished either lol.

I got the moulding done and the first cast is out.
I took as many pics as I could during the moulding process so you can see how I did it but there are a couple of gaps (as you will see) as sometimes I am in no position to take pics I'm afraid.

First of all, I removed the shoulder spikes, mainly to save on silicone as the silicone in those areas would have to be much thicker but also as it will give me more customization options later on. I will be able to change the horns if I want to.
Also, if I sculpt any armour, I will be able to leave the horns out.
I then drew a line with a black marker

I then started to add the wed clay dividing walls

Then I made some key points

Then I added a containment barrier

Then I painted on a detail coat of silicone with a very small paintbrush making sure I got all the nooks and crannies.

I then added some thixo to the mix and added a few more layers

This is where there are some images missing

Basicaly, I removed the containment barrier put in place for the silicone and fibreglassed the whole thing as the mother/jacket mould
DSCF2409.jpg

removed the dividing walls alltogether and put a new containment barrier for the silicone over the now fibreglass divider

then repeated the process for the back

Man, brother, that is just SICK! I mean, I loved your last one, but the torso on this one is just killer. The horns and skin detail are just awesome. Thanks for posting the molding pics. I love looking at those as much as the sculpting ones. Can't wait to see this bad boy painted up and yeah, you REALLY need to do a full suit...
