Well there ya go, I guess its a bigger pratice. FWIW Last sneak preview I went to was Straight Outta Compton. We were invited by the cast and didnt sign anything. Thus I blabbed about how much i liked the movie hours after the screening.

Oh...I dont have anyone on ignore anymore. They all find a way to get themselves banned hahaha.

I'm pretty sure it's all just a boilerplate document used at most big title pre-screenings. I haven't heard anything else about the embargo being pushed from people that have already seen the movie. It sounds like more hater reaching.

I, for one, welcome the new REAL GHOSTBUSTERS movie! I also have the lunacy meltdown of this thread to look forward to after seeing it Thursday night. Don't disappoint me, RPF.

I wish there was some way not to see ignored peoples posts in quotes. imagine that, not enjoying being made fun of with snarky double talk. but, that's all most supporters can do. they haven't seen it yet, so they can't make logical decisions on how good it's going to be. so, bash the trashers. logic ;o).

that's not a safe space, it just means protecting ones sanity with someone who clearly can't just let you do your own thing and constantly harping on it as much as i have fun complaining about the movie....hmm, sounds suspiciously like the sony corporate line of divide and conquer? ;o) the ignore button is there for a reason!

Neil, you know Sony invited GB franchises out to the LA movie premiere. But you have to pay for your own airline ticket and hotel. Easily $1000 a person. This ensuring only the well-heeled GB attends the movie premiere. I guess this is Sony's way of the weeding out what they think are the riffraff.

Ill probably wait for it come out on Redbox. Not because im hater of GB2016, its just because of the poor quality of the trailers/gags and heavy handedness of the Studio (read the Sony hacked emails about how they were planning on aggressively suing Bill Murry unless he got on the party train and endorsed the movie). BVS was a horrible movie but pulled in 799 MIllion (?) because it pulled from TWO huge fan bases but is 29% fresh. The GB fan base is way smaller so there is less to draw on ticket wise besides nostalgia. A comedy has to be filled with clever jokes and fun one liners.

I predict, it will get 50% positive reviews (or less), and pull in modest numbers ($160). It wont be a summer blockbuster, it will be Meh.......good enough for the 'I told you so' crowd to hold their heads up high but bad enough for the rest of the critics to pan. I also predict that the various positive 'reviews' that will be used in post release commercials will be from no name sources'.

Unless I get some unplanned terrible personal news during the screening, I won't be shedding any tears. If it's good, cool. If it's bad, no biggie. I'm going in with no expectations of this thing being as good or as impactful as the original, just like I do with ever remake of my old favs. I think it looks fun. A movie adaptation of REAL GHOSTBUSTERS.

Not to get too far off topic, but you know that by ignoring it he IS taking the high road. It's better to block the posts that bug you then to engage in the argument.

I'm sure I've posted this several times in this thread before (or related GB threads about this movie) but I've never been a huge fan of the original Ghostbusters. I get the appeal but the almost religious zeal that people have for this and BttF is incomprehensible to me.

I think I'm in the minority but the more trailers I catch for it on television, the more I am looking to see the film just to see how it pans out. Especially with all the feedback it's been getting.

all you have to do is see spy. even though feigy wrote that one...from what i've seen of this one and the book, it's the same lackluster potty humor and lame joke attempts as his last movie.


I never heard of patton oswalt before he became involved with Mst3K. I liked what little i saw of him in the telethon.

Didn't think much of him until he insulted the nerd for no reason. then, i saw this.
I guess we can welcome the newst sony shill to the club.

Although supposedly his wife was in the movie for a little bit, so, he might be just a tad over emotional about the whole subject, lashing out at people going against it.
Still, the whole james tweet kind of soured me on looking forward to enjoying him in the reboot.
