So, Dany's story....I'm kinda meh about. I don't think this is how it'll go down in the books. Not exactly, anyway. I think this was more of a shortcut the show took to move her thing along, and that Dany will generally use a different method to get the Dothraki to follow her again. It just seems too "Yeah, George, we're not taking another 15 episodes to get Dany out of this situation. Time to move on with her."
I'm enjoying Tyrion's plotline with him running Mereen. I sincerely hope that he ends up in a similar position in the books. Likewise, I'm loving the idea of Jon taking back the North. That and watching Littlefinger try to maneuver the Arryns to attack the North, presumably because the two will smash each other to pieces and leave Littlefinger to pick up what's left. Also, looks like Robin hit his growth spurt! Dude was taller than Aiden Gillen!
I LOVE what Sansa has turned into. It almost makes her annoying qualities from earlier seasons worthwhile. Almost.
And I absolutely laughed out loud at Tormund giving Brienne the eye. I mean, I knew he was gonna do it, but it was just such great comedy to watch.
Sad to see Osha go, but again, I think that's more of the show cutting through Martin's knots to just move pieces to where they need to be. I expect that storyline (with Rickon resurfacing) to go a bit differently and be more drawn out.
Lastly, the stuff in King's Landing is interesting...but I'm curious at how it'll end up playing out. While I think the High Sparrow might end up being taken out, my guess is that the Faith Militant aren't gonna disappear quite so easily.
