no thought process really... just doing my favorite parts first.. even those aren't finished I will keep going over them until I am happy or sick of it.. whichever comes first...lolLooking good! I'm curious, what was your thought process behind starting the shading with part of the background, and also starting the xenomorph where you did?

that is WAY more thought than I put into this... I just feel it out as I go along... and yes I do like the column, I actually plan to build a few of those one day.-So then, logically speaking, your favorite part of the xenomorph drawing was a background column with dryer vent tubing.
I was just asking because different people have different preferences when starting based on how they will reference those areas later on. I tend to start with highlights in one or two key sections, then jump to the darkest shadows, then figure out midtones. Others prefer to set mids, work to shadows, then do highlights last.
Just normal automotive primer that is wet sandable. Before I start the painting project I am going to try and get the foam and clay nice and slick. Painting will be a whole separate project.Yes. But you got a lot of area covered for only one can. What primer are you using?
Thank you! Oh yea.. gonna paint it all up the whole deal... but it will have to wait until the Alien is done...Hands and arms are looking great man!
Set up is looking really good with the cameras too!
