Mr Webber,

That case is all sorts of 'Team Banzai' goodness! In fact, your work proves this thread title is accurate. It looks like you've 'found' the Overthruster case. Top notch work, once again.

I heard back from the handle store and they request a 100 count minimum purchase. They suggested I try McMaster-Carr for a single purchase. Now I just need to get off my read and get busy with the case.

Again, that is just wicked cool!

Ted.

By the way Tim, you may want to change the yellow DYMO tape on the inside - left lid to read "BEWARE DROOL":lol:lol

Do the characters on the inside plate spell anything in particular? It looks really cool, whatever it does say.

Ted.

Got to finish off the inside of the charge case and made a little improvement.
Had a go at putting the Kanji on adhesive tape and then ageing the tape a little by handling it, luckily the sharpie wiped off ok as its a better look. Added a couple of lights hooked straight up to a 9V battery, plan to drop it off at a mates and he will switch it up so the CHARGE light will come on when the lid is open and the HOLD light will come on when the OT is removed. One of my fav builds, thanks Cameron for bringing it into the light.

On the matter of the handle, have searched the net for one and came up dry. Im thinking of getting one of these, which are widely available and replacing the leather with wood or something or just finding suitable brackets and doing the whole thing.

The briefcase was a little drab to me so figured that even the Banzai Institute is feeling the pinch lately so with some help from stromo, gave the case a 90`s feel advertising make over using the decals off the jet car. Ive always liked the 70`s early 80`s style racing parts logos and even had the Thrush one on my bed head back in the day. A few other little bits as well.

Thats the bomb diggity to get all 80's on ya!!!! Cant wait for my cases to show!! Im on the search for a correct handle. If I found the case I can find the handle!!

Went in with Ted to get my case before the group effort came about and it arrived a couple of days ago. Had some free time and made a start, first thing was to remove the existing handle, had to drill them out, pop rivet style. Then gave it a coat of Nato Green over Olive Drab as it is a fraction lighter. Obviously still lots to do. Have searched a lot for handles and Kerrs option looks like the best for sure.

So can you provide graphics so we can print out the labels for our cases, or are you going to do a run of them?

I'm also going to spend some time looking for the correct handle while the order I'm placing with ZC is manufactured. Maybe we can get everything in place by the time they come in!

Already put two of them in posts 108 and 124, Stu hasnt finished the side label yet and i sent the Dymo labels out to those who wanted them ages ago.

Plenty of the 1/2 inch yellow tape on eBay!
I have the modern version label maker by Brother. Unfortunately it prints black onto the colored tape, and without the raised look.

FREE of course!
The Dymo stamper I found only does 1/4 & 3/8 inch labels. Better than nothing, but Tim used 1/2 inch and it looked to match the screen used. Mine came with 3 rolls of black, but no yellow. I do have a roll of yellow for the Brother machine, but I doubt it will work with the Dymo. Ill experiment tonight.
